Cerium Oxide my brother! I polish glass for a living and this is what we use. I'm sure it would be what you want for the lens scratches. Brings it out to a perfect clarity.

With my dremel I used very light force and moved around a lot to avoid hot spots. Just take it slow and light if you are going to try this

I have a Max 360 that i never installed the protective covers and now wish I did. The lens aren't as bad as yours is but Im thinking of giving this a try as well. Have you heard any one trying it on those? I imagine the one you did and the 360 max is probably close in quality.
@ToasterVentura

I actually first tried this on my Insta360 One X camera lens where I scratched the lens on some rock on my hike at Machu Pichuu (Acceptable place to damage gear lol). The lens turned out exactly smooth like the one I showed in my video. TBH if you can live with the scratches just leave it be, but if you can't give this method a try.

I'll try this on my Max, but I was thinking if I did it to one lens, then I would have to do it to the reverse lens as well. Otherwise, there will be a noticeable difference (between what each lens captures) when stitching the scenes together. What do you think?
@ToasterVentura
@ToasterVentura Жыл бұрын
Hey 👋! 1. I only do this as a last resort. Like last ditch effort before spending tons of money to replace the lens. 2. What's the harm of doing one side first, test the footage then decide? In my experience, losing the uv coating will result in my glare but as long as you keep the no uv side down and clean side up you should not see that much of a difference. Hope this helps subscribe to support my tiny channel!
