I’m 69, I’ll be 70 in April. I use the Calecim Professional Serum, followed by the Multi-Action Cream every night on my face and neck. After they’ve absorbed I apply prescription tretinoin, again, every night, I’ve done this for years. I swear by all three products and have no intention of ever stopping. After the tretinoin has fully absorbed I follow up with Biossance Squalane/Omega Repair Cream. I like this cream because they incorporate marine algae and I find it a useful product in skincare. I also use a red light therapy mask every day. I’m pleased with my 69 year old skin, even when I’m bare faced. Desi, I appreciate your extensive research and advice, I’ve learned much from you, so thank you.

Hi Desi! I am always looking forward to your videos and when you don't have a new one out yet I rewatch your old ones and find some new gems of info that I have missed. I'm 59 and turning 60 in January. I've been using Calecim line for 2 years now and started with Auteur because of you and am loving both! Auteur at night and Calecim in the morning. It's interesting that you have done a comparison among the Calecim, Neogenesis and Plated stem cell/ growth factor serums as I have used all 3 myself. Hands down Calecim professional serum gave me the most improvement to my skin. And add the MAC to the routine...it's just incredible!!! I am almost settled and happy with the two skincare brands. But if there is more leading edge skincare in the future I'm all ears. And I hope you are there to let us know first! More power to you Desi!

But even though I didnt experience any negative reaction , the price was certainly off putting for such a small bottle . Ill stick to my Calecim multi action cream. I wasn’t aware of the difference between stem cells and growth factors- thank you for explaining. I have been using Neogenesis. I have not had any issues with stinging around the eyes or noticed any smell. Neogenesis eye cream was the only thing that helped my dermatitis on my eyelids. Based on your recommendation though, I will try the Calecim because I’m always on the lookout for what works best on my skin.

I’m so relieved to learn this: Caleim, now known as Calecim Professional, obtains stem cells from the umbilical cord lining of red deer for their Growth Factor Serum. These red deer are organically and ethically raised in New Zealand. The umbilical cord, which connects the calf to its mother, is typically discarded after birth, and harvesting this "medical waste" does not involve any harm to either the mother or the calf.

I have all three products, but I've been using Recovery the longest, for four years, and it's the one I will always repurchase. I have sensitive skin and my eyelids are easily irritated, but I've never had a problem with Recovery. I specifically use it only around my eyes and on my lashes and it gives me great results as a lash serum as well. I'm so sorry it didn't work around your eyes because the effects long term are incredible. I know we all react differently to different products. I can't use TNS because it instantly turns me bright red and creates huge welts all over my face, but it works great for so many people. I try other growth factor products all over my face and neck, but stick with Recovery for my eyelids because I've seen amazing firming and smoothing from it. I never skip eyelid application with it. I try so many things, but it's one thing that I will always use on my eyelids.

I have also been using Neogenesis Recovery and their Eye Serum for nearly 4 years once day with no reaction at all. I find it has eliminated the crepiness under my eyes, is very healing with hormonal blemishes and calms my redness. I also found it kept my skin from reacting when I started using Tret. I am 52 and at this point will keep repurchasing. I recently introduced the pro serum into my morning routine based on your recommendation. To early to tell but looking forward seeing results.

Definitely! Got already a few questions on it. It’s more an all in one product as it also contains peptides and Vitamin C. It contains too much glycerin and I usually like to segregate peptides and growth factors for maximum potency. The product is bit diluted. I will have a full review in the future.

Plated did remove some puffy like rosacea on my face overnight and so does the Calecim. Reviva vi K cream works for the inflammation as well and the price is so low! Reviva has been around for many years and is a very clean and humane product line. It’s excellent for under eye dark circles .

I had a completely different experience with Neogenesis Recovery - no issues applied nearly up to my lash line, don't find it has a strong smell. It's actually studied to be safe around the eyes, acne, and cancer. I've been using it for nearly two years now and I have seen results with fine lines. ...will they last? I don't know. Calecim has a smell to me, not super gross just meh. I liked the texture of their cream, but I wasn't blown away by the results of anything, including the Professional Serum - serum gave me some white heads when used multiple days in a row. Maybe I'll give it another go and try daily. Agree on Plated - Exosomes are a hot word, but I don't believe they offer strong enough study data on efficacy or safety. (I'm 40yo, dehydrated sensitive skin.)

Hi! Think of it this way: the cream is mandatory; the oil after is optional. I personally don’t like many oils, I’d rather use the right moisturizer. Oils usually occlude the skincare below to stop from evaporating and thus may preserve moisture a bit longer.

Oh, I love Angela’s Cell Forte!! It’s in my “Best 10 Peptides” video. You can definitely combine and thus get 3 vital ingredients: peptides, stem cells and growth factors. If it’s a choice between the two: stick with the Cell Forte until you finish, may be get the Calecim after and rotate. If you are using a different peptide after, stick with Calecim. It’s one thing I don’t skip in my routine.

I had the exact same issue with Plated. I had a sunburn like burn on the top of my cheeks that got worse. I had to stop and use the prime renewal pack daily to slowly heal it. Never had any issues with Neogenesis recovery or Calecim MAC both work for me!

I only use it in the morning but if you’re not using other potent ingredients like peptides and Retinoids at night, I suggest using as your first serum at night. I also remember when I started with it, I used it twice a day. Probably best if you want to see fast results. Very excited for you!!!

Auteur doesn’t really have growth factors in their products except for Hyaluron Activator but not organic. So I definitely add Calecim. I only use Calecim in the morning and Auteur at night but if you want to combine, go by consistency. Thinnest goes first. Professional serum will always go first. Night Recovery last in the serum lineup. The cream: you can actually use as a last serum or mix with Auteur’s cream.

Very good topic of discussion. I did address on Instagram as I do a lot of Q&A there. This topic always needs more context though and it’s always theoretical and mostly misinterpreted. Growth factors cannot create new cells. They just promote your existing ones to multiply faster. In other words, they cannot create cancer if it’s not already in one’s skin. By that logic, people with history of skin cancer should avoid growth factors. Same with active acne. Again, this is just a theoretical deduction as it’s not been proven but this is why I put the disclaimer in all of my videos when I talk about growth factors.

Hi Desi, What do you think about Allies of Skin GF factor serum? I tried to find reviews but except their website and few people who received free products from the brand I couldn’t find anything. I know this GF serum is created in a lab (using e-coli bacteria) but if is effective or just hydrates the skin like any other moisturiser. Thanks for sharing!🙂 P.S. Also I wish you will consider doing a review of this brand (especially the Cooper Tripeptide serum) and tell what is worth it to buy. I used their eye cream and after almost one year I didn’t notice any changes around my eyes (my fine lines are still there and not diminished at all and my eyelids are not lifted). Plus the cream doesn’t spread well and tends to sit forever on top of the skin). ☹

In my experience, when the 2nd ingredient on the list (after water) is glycerin and the 3rd is squalene, all the important actives after are severely low concentration and do not accomplish much. I’ve never tried it to be certain but based on my quick analysis from their website, this would not be a product that I would buy.

I bought Revivserums the Ultimate serum about 6 months ago which is supposed to have WITH GROWTH FACTORS, PHYTO STEM CELLS, PEPTIDES, PROBIOTICS, and EXOSOMES. It was another product that was supposed to do a lot but I was never sure if it did or not. What do you think about it?

I gave the product a fair chance and used up two full bottles, but I honestly didn't notice any difference while using it. When I stopped, there was no change either, which suggests it didn’t have much of an impact.

The Reviv serum is a less successful and cheaper imitation of the TNS with some extra ingredients. I wasn’t hugely disappointed when I tried it but no, it doesn’t accomplish much. They added too many pointless ingredients and dilutes the effective ones. The concentration of the good ingredients is not enough to have a positive result. Unfortunately, that’s the catch with less expensive products. Yes, you pay less but you ultimately lose 100% of your money. Great question!!

@@d.a.5982 it didn’t for me either. So far the only things that have seemed to have a result had been the Dermelect Self-Esteem sleep serum and Desi’s pore and texture routine. I did really well with a lower prescription of Tretinoin that seemed to make my skin a little creamer but I have not been able to use to higher prescription more than a couple times a week for 8 months and I still have problems.

That’s a very general statement as it implies that’s the case with all products containing growth factors. Although it may be true about some products, it is generally incorrect. Definitely incorrect when it comes to Calecim.

Please stop referring to products as THIS. Not everyone has the luxury or even the desire to drop everything they've doing to sit and stay glued to a screen for the better part of half an hour or more. It's a terrible habit most KZbinrs have fallen into and it's extremely frustrating. In the case of this particular video at least there are only three products in three very different bottles, so it's pretty easy for viewers to keep track of which is which, if you're glued to a screen. However, most of the time there are more than three products and most of the time the containers aren't easily identifiable.
