Thank you for the troubleshooting steps. I thought my sprinklers were working normally because the timer control was set to early morning but my grass was getting dry. Sprinklers would not turn on manually. Turns out the irrigation control valve was turned off and I don’t know how that would have happened since I didn’t do it.

Many thanks for this video. It helped me find my problem quickly, specifically checking the power outlet with a known working device. The GFI was tripped on my plug.

Dude thanks! I wouldn’t have thought to even back the water supply because that’s too “obvious”. Some contractors turned off the water supply to the back flow!

Mine works only when I run each zone manually. It won't come on at the times I have set. I'm thinking the programming is not correct but, they were working and then stopped working. The unit is about nine years old. So probably need a new programmable unit.

In case you didn't know, opposite your solenoids you have a little plastic bolt that when untied will release water manually as well, it's a little more practical I think. good video though!

I hope you can help me. We had a fiber optic crew digging in our yard and cut one of the lines to the sprinkler system. They repaired the leak. However, now my system will not come on. I have manually turned the system on by turning the solenoids, However, the system will not turn on normally using the control panel. Any thoughts, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have two drip lines each on a separate valve let’s call them A&B. They are each programed to start and stop. We replaced our Hunter X-core for another one. Three wires, the ground and one hot wire from each valve. We tried running each manually. A ran and watered the front. B-also watered the front which should be impossible I would think. We connected everything just as the old controller was set up. It was only three wires, help! Please

i have 5 zones. last year all worked well. now three work as programmed and two do not. when I loosen the solenoid there is water sprinkling strongly, when I shut it off again it stops. If i understand what you're saying, it's either two zones that have an electical break, or it's the control box. it's not likely that two zones (different areas) go broken, so it may be the control box. can you say how to trouble shoot that please? it's either than, or a new one is needed. thanks for your clear explanation. It would be great if you can go this one last step with me. thank you.

I had my system blown out before winter. Came out this morning to turn the system back on, opened all valves from the street to the solenoid valves and no water pressure. When they blow these out is there a trick to get water pressure again? Super weird. Should have pressure!

@@bassetto1603 actually I did. A little embarrassing but they was a gap in the connection. Fortunately no water leakage issues. Check all connections.

I turn mine a quarter turn all 4.. nothing came on. The program box I have is the same as yours. The programing time are set and all days on. There's a tap outside even when I turn that nothing comes out if it so idk if something is off? This guy blew them out but I only have one outdoor box with the zone valves.

So I have a 1 zone that won't turn on manually I turn all the sprinklers on manually and all work besides 1 zone and I replaced and solenoid and still the sprinklers do not turn on to that 1 zone . When i do turn that 1 zone on manually it sprays out water from the valve.

I have a hunter in ground sprinkler system. Only zone 6 isn’t function. Verified 24 v and 28 ohms going to selinoid. Did an ohm test at selinoid at valve box. When manually turning on valve at selinoid, water goes into sprinklers, but heads don’t come up. WTH?

@@bassetto1603 I ended up replacing both the solenoid and diaphragm. Got them from Amazon for under $20. Worked like a champ. Most of my time was spend researching. May the grass be with you. Best of luck.

Great video. However, “my opinion “ is that I don’t think you need a qualified electrician to reset a tripped circuit breaker (CB). Look in the breaker box for the tripped CB. By chance if you have NOT ever dealt with a CB box, you tube it. It’s as simple as turning on your kitchen lights. One rule though…..if you reset the CB and it trips again, DO NOT hold it on or reset it. Call an electrician.

See if you have 24 volts dc to the main feed to the controller.May want to backtrack as suggested and trace power source.

In my case, everything is alright, the controller is on, there is water if I turn the sprinklers on manually, the cord that goes from the controller to the sprinklers is good, the only option is the actual box. I ordered a new one, let's see. If it's not the box, I guess my house is haunted by ghosts who hate lawn
