Tough part is matching salaries. It’s going to cost DLo, Gabe and Vando/Rui. Team takes even more of a depth hit.

Sometimes he is like a left brain, right brain issue where the one side says he’s perfect, the other says but your depth is like less than zero sometimes. But I agree with you. How do you move pieces that most don’t want, and get positive return without too much draft capital. Only way is to take the risk on a contract like Lavine. Plus opening a couple slots could be ideal for repairing bench and adding a new player or two. I do wonder if they would be willing to cross second apron late in season or if it’s a no go still. That and who do you keep, Vando or Rui? Injuries aside.

@@Chris-u3h8c I hear you. There’s just the matter of replacing those guys if you do a 3- or 4-for-1-type deal. For as bad as the bench has been, it’d be even worse if they’re relying on JHS, Bronny or Maxwell, for example. Those guys just aren’t ready. That could sign a minimum guy or two, but that’s not guaranteed to work. …. I’d be shocked if they crossed second apron. The restrictions are too punitive.

KOLOKO just needs to rebound the ball,play defense & Dunk/finish dump offs at the rim. If he just does that it'll be a massive upgrade for the defense when AD rest

I do agree that Gabe’s shot setups have been kinda hectic. Like, he’ll end up taking a step back step back three sometimes lmfao not an excuse by any means, but I def observed it.

Max should start in place of DLo for defensive purposes. I know he's looked bad, but he was given the wrong role. Putting him in the starting lineup will allow him to play off of AR, Lebron, and AD. This way, the responsibility of him needing to be a scorer is not that high. He will gain confidence in his game by being a disturbance on defense, and he will get open shots. While DLo can be the primary focus coming off the bench and 6th man.

JJ told me he was going to make Austin Reaves a star. I want to see 25-6-6 for the rest of the year. No more turnovers. Not one good game one bad. Time to step up. Make a three when it matters. Three pointers 20 down don't change much. Lakers need a 3rd reliable scorer every night. No more excuses. Hard to stop the layup in the half court when AD switched off to someone on the perimeter. Need to keep Ad or Koloko in the paint at all times. Cam needs to start for Rui. Rui out just makes it easy to try out. If Dalton starts playing 15-20 tonight, by January he will be a useful off the bench scorer. Play Dalton with Lebron.

Start AR ,Vando,Rui,Bron & AD with a bench of DLo, Gabe, Knecht, Cam,Koloko & use Wood or Jax to play in that 2 big unit/shift, with/beside AD @ the end of the 1st & 3rd quarters.🤷🏾‍♂️ Then bring in Bron & KOLOKO for AD & Wood to start the 2nd with DLo ,Knecht & Vando/Rui🤷🏾‍♂️ Something along these lines mite be good

It’s kinda what we knew going into this season, not enough size and strength up front and a back court you never know what you’re gonna get but PPG from shooters is bad except for AD Basically size and consistent shooting.

Rotation adjustment.. Stop playing Gabe & Max backcourt together... Especially with Jax in the game. Those 3 never score and the defense loads up the paint and Beon cant do anything

Pessimistic View - Our #18 Championship Chances during The LBJ 👑 LAker Era left when KCP/Carushow/Kuz left. AR needs to be moved to the bench. Just as inconsistent as DLO on O and gets picked on D to the point where he’s a non factor. It’s the lakers management fault for treating him like he’s an all star. We have to trade Reaves or D Lol,they are too slow in the perimeter and they don't play any defense at all.Gabe is not the solution to our defensive flaws,he is too small and he don't have the physique to do the job we need.We are waiting for 3 bigs and no help for the perimeter

Need to trade some combination of Gabe,Max,JHS ,Lewis,a minimum salary and maybe DLo🤷🏾‍♂️ (roughly 46M ish) and picks for a couple 2 way high motor athletes. A guard and a wing. A B.Brown & DFS or similar types of players. Then maybe Dennis to play the backup PG.🤷🏾‍♂️ Something along those lines gotta be done

We touched on that and why I think this is different. I never agreed with benching Austin. And I still don’t. I think DLo should be the one going to the bench if they split them up. Darvin benched Rui, Austin and DLo at various points (and all three for two games). That just doesn’t make sense when they’re among the team’s top five players and top five highest-paid players. In my scenario, Rui and Austin are still starting and DLo is playing a big role as the sixth man.
