First thing I thought when looking at the original install. Those rubber inserts don’t have a lot of holding power. Already have my nutsert tool ready.

That's the plan! How's my old hammer drill doing in the arms of its new lover? lol

The reason it came loose is because you didn't put both bolts in the snorkle connector? Play track by the way, and thanks for the video!

You definitely have to be precise when using the rubber well nuts. Also if the snorkel itself is not aligned properly it will apply unnecessary pressure on it which can be part of his issue. I've installed a dozen or so on 5th gen RAM HD's and we use the rubber well nuts but I can see the point. First install has approx. 20k miles on it without a problem. We thought about using riv-nuts but if it starts spinning you have another set of issues to deal with which can be possibly worse.. Overall it's understandable and we definitely have to be meticulous when installing. Still the best kit on the market IMO.

Why not place tape over paint. Glue industrial Velcro to tape , glue other Velcro to snorkel = removable no hole drilled

Because it won't stay in place. Try doing that to something on your vehicle. Try going through an automatic carwash and report back. It'll be destroyed.
