How To Fix TI-Nspire CX CAS Not Turning On

It seems that some of these calculators open differently, but our CX CAS one opens by removing all screws on the outside and under the rubber pads, and after that by prying on the left side on the front. Basically reverse of 3:04.The CX model is slightly different, so make sure to remove all screws to avoid damaging anything.

There's 2 screws next to the touchpad under the clear plastic on the front of the calculator. Usually, you need to pry off that plastic piece like a phone screen

how DID you open it? I can open the ones with the four-pin battery without any issues but this one with the connectors is a b!tch, I've already messed up the frame :(

my nspire cx doesn't charge the battery, any idea on how i can fix this? i bought a replacement battery hoping it was a battery problem but that isn't the case.

Is the same if I use the Lm3670mf-1.8?

You should compare the key specs of 3670 and 3671 to be sure, but according to my quick googling the 3670 has lower load capacity of only 300mA compared to 3671's 600mA, so the 3670 might burn out.

I bought ti nspire cx ii calculator . Now there is an issue with it. So it was dead and I haven't used it for almost a week so I decided to charge it but after sometime when I tried to turn it on its menu screen appeared which was blur and then it got switched off. After that it kept on getting switched on and then off on its on. I don't know what's problem with it. I need some help? For charging in past I used 5V-2A adapters.

Have you tried to reset it by pressing the tiny button on the back? A simple fix like that might help.

Hello. thank you for this video. In my case, the TI nspire won't turn on and overheating. When the battery is charged in another calculator it's same, not working and overheat. So, please tell me if yours start doing it like mine.

What exactly is overheating? Have you taken the calculator apart and checked the component that is heating up? Even if it's not the same one that failed on our calculator, it's probably fairly simple to replace.

My calculator does not detect the battery even if I remove the battery the text box appears that the battery is low, I already changed the battery with a new one and it does not seem to be working properly, someone hera had the seem problem

장종남 you know the dark grey part of your CAS? Use one hand to pull the screen off and the other hand, use your thumb to push down on the grey part of the CAS and it should pop! Don’t be afraid to be a little rough with the CAS!!! (:

Please help me. I have the same problem caused by a bad charger. My doubt is that a bad charger only spoils that chip or some other chip.

A bad charger can cause the problem but the nspire cx cas uses a standard mini usb 5V charger so you can just buy a new one if you doubt yours.

We're not sure, but probably the chip being faulty from the factory or a bad charger.

Well, I spilled tea all over it and now it still turns on but only to a stage where it has a little clock icon in the middle of the screen and small lines in the background. I already put it in rice but still no hope..

How do you know your battery is dead? Replacing it seems to be quite cheap, so I would try that.

Hi, That doesn't seem to be the same problem we had. At around 00:33 in your video it seems there are some lines on the screen which could be caused by a different problem like a failing GPU. Moreover our cx cas didn't turn on at all because the faulty voltage regulator chip created a short and drained the battery.
