Just fix the problem using your keyboard press Fn and F10 at the same time thats how you turn on/off touchpad

bro you just have to wait for some time it will take some days wait until the windows update then you just have to update with the help of tab button after it your touchpad starts working

Yeah bro found a solution - go to device manager - unhide hidden devices - Synaptic touchpad - uninstall the device in properties(select attempt to uninstall) - shut down the laptop - after 5-10 minutes switch on - device will start working.

I don't have access to troubleshouting keyboard, there's no option. But i did fig out why touchpad didn't work on my Acer .Turns out that my laptop have a deactivate button for touchpad (F7). Tap it again and it works once more xD wasted so much time just for 1 (why is it there) button.

None of these methods worked for me, but HERE IS WHAT DID WORK: Perform a Two-Button Shutdown by (1)Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button simultaneously for 15 seconds (the screen may flash, but keep holding until the WINDOWS logo pops up on the screen). (2) Release both buttons and wait 10 seconds.(3)Press the Power button to turn on the device. And voilà! You're welcome.

Hi, I did a lot of thinks to solve problem with my toucpad but unfortunately didn't help. I did a test in BIOS mode and it passed. Than driver uppdates and a lot off other stuff and still have a problem. I am stuck. Have an almost brand new laptop HP ELITEBOOK 835 G8.

Yes, it was a HARDWARE issue , so HP did replace touchpad.
