How to Fix

Hello Friends
I have Philips trimmer QT4011 and I have been using it since 3 years but before few days I had got a issue of rotor and blade...The motor was running perfectly but the blades stopped running after sometime when I switch on the motor...So basically the issue was of a small part which is connected with motor and blades hence in this video I have shown you that how I have fixed the issue of blade with motor.

Thanks bro, works like a charm! Extra tip- within some time time super glue can wear itself down...in order not to apply it every now and then you can simply mix it with some baking soda and you get stone hard bond.

But I knew it was a tedious process, so I didn't want to try that first. Yours was very less risky, so thought of trying that.. Now it's perfectly working 😊

First of all thanks. I was mislead by several videos which recommended clean this or oil that. My trimmer is working well after doing what you suggested. One change I made : I used Araldite instead of Fevikwik. Took a little Araldite on the tip of a tooth-pick and put it inside the hole. Araldite does not dry up so fast and is thick, so easier to use. Not to mention it provides a much better bond than Fevikwik.

I just got the motor pin replaced from Philips service center for 200rs. I thought of the same feviquick thing before sending it to the service center, however decided its okay to spend this much after 4 years of use on this 1000rs trimmer. The feviquick, if it gets into the motor part, may jam the machine for life.

Take it to Philips service center, get rotor part replaced. Part price rs 150/-, might take rs 100 as service charge. Feviquick will hold it for few days and come off. I got mine repaired today. Also got battery replaced as it was 12y old.

Tip : Prevent dripping the gum on trimmer while placing the rotating part which might drip from hole, connect the part as you hold trimmer upside down.

Good one bro Thanks a lot. Went thru several other vdos most of them just showed dismantling the blades and then cleaning the mechanism, but it did not solve my problem. Your idea nailed it and seems to have fixed it, hope the superglu lasts long!!!. Shame the metal part is giving up instead any other plastic or rubber. Its an clear design fault and Philips need to think better going forward.
