Thank you so much for this video. I have Spinabifida and have had several people tell me I walk with a limp. I never noticed it before but I started to see it more once people pointed it out. I have seen Physio’s but never had anyone explain it to me as well as you have. Great video! Now all so need to do is go and measure my legs 📏 and do these exercises!

Yes!! Got it & big problems! Yes, leg discrepancy 11mm, uneven hip, rotated & horrific pain in back, but also have herniated discs L4,5, S1 & some scoliosis… Need the right PT; also senior psoas issues. Got a lot plus TMJ too.

I’ve got a 25mm discrepancy that wasn’t even found until I was 28. Knee, hip, pelvis, back and shoulder problems my whole life with plenty of surgery’s. It sure is a pain!

@@ancienthealingsaroundthewo3456 I meant surgery’s on my shoulders, knees and ankles. I’ve got a herniated L4/5 that I’m trying my best to avoid surgery on, and I’ve recently developed osteitis pubis haha. But I’ve finally got a team of physio excercise physios that are trying to help. 🤷♂️

@@CharlotteNewberg-tn2dd My diagnosis was stenosis but not a lot of information besides that. PT sessions did not do a lot. So I started walking daily. Built up from five minutes and adding five minutes every week. I now walk 30 minutes without too much pain. Never sit longer that 30 minutes at a time. Get up, move around for a few minutes. These are some of the measurements I took, and I am much better. Stenosis is not a death sentence . Painful yes, but you can make adjustments and have less pain.

Hey man, I was going through the same at a young age, always stood for long hours at work and by the time I was 30 my lower back was destroyed. It's really about strengthening the glutes and lower back muscles. I had luck with those stretch exercise band things

I noticed a tight psoas, Ql, internal rotation hip/femur, pelvis drop (most likely right side) and collapsed arches All on the right side of My body. When trying to restore balance to the pelvis, should I strengthen the left Ql and gluteus Medius? Heel lift or insert under left heel? Any guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated

2:47 measuring the length of the legs does not help, because there are factors which can cause errors (look how the measuring tape touches the leg muscles, so different diameter of muscle affects the measurement). This is how you do it: you should just stand in front of the therapist and he palpates your iliac crests. If one appears to be lower, he puts a small piece of wood underneath the foot until both crests are evenly high.

Hello, events occurred after I was diagnosed with Spondylarthrite Some tests and analyses were revealed, but the strange thing is that before knowing the disease, there were events that happened to me, including that I was playing football and fell on the ball on the left side of my buttocks, but at that time I did not feel any pain. I was told that I have SPA But the left leg is still short and I feel a distortion in the pelvis and a protrusion of the leg when sitting, with pain and stiffness in the hips and pelvis My question is, does this indicate that the reason behind all this is falling on my buttocks because I did all the X-ray scanners The doctor did not say that the reason was the fall. Please answer. I am confused.

Legs size difference is BS... Measuring doesn't make any sense.... I had equal size for whole my life, but then I had issues and doctor measuring claimed difference of about 2cm, I went to chiro who also done test at beginning of session witch confirmed it, but after session test showed that my legs are equal again... Tension in joints, bad angle of that uneven hip makes up for that difference...

By the time it’s 5 minutes in, he’s discussing how leg joint compression is the most common cause.. ..if measuring isn’t done multiple times with strong consistency, it’s not going to give a reliable measurement.. ..personally, my legs are very different lengths.. at this point, no tape needed.. But I didn’t even realize it till high school.. & by then, mine had been further messed up by having my pelvis itself separate and misalign.. There are a number of reasons why these measurements aren’t always going to be the only way to get to the bottom of the source of the imbalance.. ATB

Now even when I sit, I feel lowered on my left side, also I feel tighter muscles around left pelvis, left QL, left psoa, and those are real reasons behind "shorter leg", also my right foot is turned outward, with knee turned inward, and while I stand and focus on pushing my left leg and glutes forward, and right leg backwards I become even. Just need to balance it out to make it permanent... but that's kinda harder part.
