Chad, thank you for viewing my channel. There are many of us in this niche. Unbelievably 7-8 of us in Utah alone. I always try to "Nicely" DOMINATE my neighbors!! But when any have asked for help I am always willing to help get theirs to a domination level. I actually have my neighbor across the street that I have done a series on helping him to fix his "Ugly Lawn". So far it is looking great. His wife asked me the other day, "So what happens when you aren't dominating us any longer?" I told her two things "I don't give everyone ALL my tricks, and maybe we can get the NEIGHBORHOOD to DOMINATE the others!!" You know gotta get those home values up!! LOL. Thank you for the comment. I hope to hear more from you in the future!!

Great vid! I use the proplugger to do the same thing. That is a BOSS TIP for sure. Keep rocking the turf brother man!

What the Beep!! The sod plugger is pretty cool haven’t seen that used yet!
@TheHighlanderLawn4 жыл бұрын
Yes I didn't actually say it................BUT I DID THINK IT!! The Sod Plugger makes it super easy to fix something that is in visible sight to everyone and allows you to stick the bad plug somewhere else to heal up and get back to where it was prior. Thanks for the comment. And again I apologize for the delayed response.

Great way to go about fixing those spots in your lawn! I will definitely try this method next time I need to repair spots. This past spring I had a barespot about the size of a basketball and could've used this method. Instead, I bombed the whold lawn with a high N fertilizer, mowed every other day and heavy handed RGS and it did fill in within 4 weeks. This method is quicker though

Thanks, It is pretty easy. Biggest thing is to not take all your "Good" plugs from the same area or somewhere that is not so visible, but make sure that it's from the same general area. You wouldn't want a have a Checker board of just rye mixed in with some KBG. Prevention is always easier (like flushing the urine with water for 30 seconds.) And Allyn Hane (LCN) had a video just a few weeks ago, on a buddy of his that has a formula with I believe RGS and Humic that he takes out and flushes the urine spot with it and it looks really good. Always appreciate all types of ways to skin the cat.

Sure is! Lucky for me I have spots in my backyard where I can remove plugs if I need to repair spots in my front or even the backyard

Clever! By the way, the shape of the bald spot at 10:20 looks like a puppy! Lol
@TheHighlanderLawn4 жыл бұрын
Thanks EJ. I guess I didn't see the shape!! DIdn't know that dogs could urinate shapes of themselves. LOLOL

Great job on that dog urine fix. Your fix is fast. compared to the typical way which is just water it out and put some compost or something else.
@TheHighlanderLawn4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. All together it took me about 20 mins to do remove all the urine/bare spots and swapped them out with the good. My biggest surprise was how fast it healed itself. The later ones in the video were just swapped out 2 days ago. We will see how the results turn out. Thank you for the comment. I look forward to hearing from you again.

But what if you have 3 dogs and you have 6 of these spots every day? What's the best way? HELP Highlander Lawn! I need your wisdom!
@TheHighlanderLawn4 жыл бұрын
AHHHH!! I figured you would make a comment sooner or later. My wisdom to you is pick a specific spot of the yard to go drop their deposits and "piss" everyone off and just give up on that piece of lawn....CUZ U ARE SCREWED!! LOL And you've never needed my wisdom....wiseacre!!

That soil needs a lot of gypsum to break the clay over time.
@TheHighlanderLawn3 жыл бұрын
Richard, yes it does!! There are times that I think it will take forever to break down all the clay that I have in my soil! 🤣🤣Thank you for the comment. I hope to hear from you in the future

A more simple solution is, don't over fertilize the grass. 🌱
@TheHighlanderLawn3 жыл бұрын
No over fertilization here!! At least not in this lawn and at least not in the last 10 years. But it has happened when I was younger!! LOL

@@TheHighlanderLawn You should at least look into how dog urine kills grass. When plants build a tolerance to nitrates the slightest imbalance will damage them. It's also terrible for the environment.
