It's got to be more simple than this. Right? An office manager that creates a google workspace account can't possibly be expected to become a developer in order to use the service.

I wish! Thankfully we are getting closer to things being easy with automated DNS setup that also handle SPF but fundamentally managing email flow is still a technical process that hasn’t changed since the dawn of the Internet

You likely need to add it into your DNS zone. This may vary depending on who' holding your DNS - depends on how you set it up but could be where you purchased your domain like NameCheap , GoDaddy, Squarespace, etc. or where you host like SiteGround, Hostgator, BlueHost, etc. Each platform would likely have a guide on what to do or a setting that you'll need to adjust (such as changing p=none to p=reject)
