Thanks for posting this! I have a 2008 and battery drained (not sure why yet) and found rear passenger slider quite working. Did the manual open / close after putting in Lock and works! I was so excited. I think my battery may have drained because I discovered this door was not fully latched.... but I'll need to wait another day to see it car starts.

I had my battery drained a few times.. it was the kids leaving the interior lights on lol.. I changed all my light bulbs to led now they can leave them on all night and battery is still good.. Take care!

Ran into simpler issue on my drivers side sliding door. Turns out I hit the fuel door release while cleaning the carpets. The fuel door was ajar, not touching anything, but the door wouldn't work and wouldn't close that last 2 inches manually. The fuel door switch is wired into the lock and motor as a safety feature. Pushing it shut resolved all the issues with the door. Good luck

WOOOOOW I feel like such an idiot.... I had to replace my alternator(& battery) & both doors stopped working in the closed position. (They stopped working at different times because the battery wires were removed several times & replaced the positive lead) Now they both work again! I was literally sitting in the van when I watched this prepared to disassemble both side panels & take the doors off...

Do you have any suggestions for 2009 Odyssey tailgate!? It beeps like it’s going to open but don’t. Can’t physically open it either. All doors unlocked but when we press the handle to open back tailgate it does nothing. It doesn’t release to open. Bought new actuator and that didn’t work either.

hmmm.... the only thing I can think of is possibly disconnect the battery for about a minute then reconnect.. sometimes that's all it takes to get things to work

ETPC EPIC TIME PASS CHANNEL Thank you but we did that. The release handle on outside of tailgate won’t release lock when we press it. You can hear all the other doors unlock with remote but not the tailgate. Thanks again for replying back to me.

So this worked for me as well...with a slight twist. I didn't have a battery issue...but the door stopped working. I did this exact thing...but on the one good working door and then my other door started working too.

For me this worked on the right door but the left door was still not budging. Make sure the gas tank is closed and that the door is completely shut. Pull the left door to ensure its closed fully, then reset as per this video and try again.

I tried that on and off switch but did not work for me. I have a 2011 Honda Odyssey and the left driver side the sliding door will not open but the right side will. Then I notice the small door that covers the gas cap wasn't completely shut. So I shut the gas cap door and then the sliding door worked.

@ETPCYT my husband figured out how to reset it. With ours, with the non-moving, long beeping sliding door, the lock mechanism still functioned normally. He disconnected the battery and waited about 20-30 seconds before reconnecting. Reset everything, and it now works! Hallelujah! Just in time for back to school!

My passenger side door has never closed properly so we never use it, our driver side opens by itself after the doors are all locked and im back in my house, now the door will not open at all i really just wish there was a way to remove that aytimatic feature i would much rather manually close it.

Kristyna... everything was working fine then you used messed with the fuses and it stopped working? I would say maybe one of your fuses is either broken or not in all the way. One thing you can try is unhooking the battery for a minute or so and then hooking it back up, this can "reset" the system.. Best of lucK!

I don’t think that’s what did it. My odyssey doors were dead for a year then the battery died and they started working. The opposite of what happened to you and I didn’t futz with any switch . I’m sure it’s battery related and there’s some kind of reset going on . But your solution is weak and sounds like luck or chance
