This is the tough thing, I don’t know if you can do the same thing since the eyes on tobey aren’t protruding out, they more so are flush against the mask and screen printed. It may not be as simple unfortunately :( thanks for watching!

Damn! Yea understandable, if I were you I would just custom and make your own. Shouldn’t be too hard popping the lense off and getting some white vinyl can do the trick. Thanks for watching

did the original lens had honeycomb pattern leftover with just the grey paint chip on it ?

It still had the pattern yes but the paint had chipped or maybe even broke off once doing the method. So it made them kind of useless but if you’re careful enough maybe you can keep them mint condition

Random thought… Ever since Inart happened, Hot Toys i feel like are starting to compete with them (naturally) but i think since Inart does not have Marvel license and are mainly making DC figures it kinda makes Hot Toys neglect other properties like Marvel and focuses on DC and have all their ammo and budget poured to that line (i mean look at the recently released The Batman from HT 🤯) and maybe that’s why we get releases like this that have more misses and lack the extra attention to detail and care especially for a highly anticipated release like this and i feel that Inart needs to acquire the Marvel license and have both companies co-share it like DC for things to improve.

That’s actually super valid, maybe they’re saving all their firepower on huge figures. Although, Andrew Garfield is a very iconic portrayal of Spider-Man so I don’t see why they would be lazy on this one. The thenas of the world sure 😆 but here, don’t agree as much on that call. Great thoughts regardless though, appreciate you sharing!

Wouldn’t work for Andrew’s specific eyes. Every other spiderman has a different pattern and shape. But you can definitely custom this yourself if you want too, but I didn’t want to deal with the hassle. Thanks for watching!

I am actually getting the RCN studios head sculpt, may be the same thing but it’s an older NWH version that I think looks great. It’s been on PO for a long time so hopefully it releases anytime now

The eyes are grey in the movie the just look white in some seen because of the light

Nah man I’m pretty sure they’re white. I’ve seen multiple photos of him behind the scenes and they have a white/ super bright grey mesh. So maybe a super light grey but they are definitely not as dark as the stock hot toy ones.

Here me out: What if you were able to take the original lenses, chip off the grey paint and just paint the inside white? Cause it still had the honey comb pattern. Maybe that would've worked. Anyways, it still looks gorgeous with the new lenses!

but have you noticed that hot toys made a factory error on the production of the head of the amazing spiderman regarding that they manufactured some dolls that do not allow the head to move up and sideways while others do...

Omg, that’s so funny because my friend actually posed his figure with the head moving up totally fine, while the one I have is super stiff and when I apply pressure it feels completely stuck to just looking straight rather than up Where did you hear of this, if you can link me something I would really appreciate it and cover it on the channel!

Gonna have to do the same on my Tobey fig when it arrives. They botched the lenses and the mask as a whole. I'm painting the frames gunmetal and adding the shading around the perimeter to really get that Raimi trilogy look

I cant deny. This is a good before and after. I dont have this figuer I have the original one so I still understand what you mean. I saw his movies in theaters and did give the man a chance, wasnt bad at all just some writing issue ls but we already know that story. Im not liking those sleeves I saw a full review on MRC's who does really good review and the sleeves do the very same thing yours did opening which kills me. As you said $300+ figure not their 1st time doing Spider-Man not their first time having sleeve issues (Deadpool-thankfully mine was the 2nd batch from their Shanghai location). Also glad you highlighted that the Andrew Garfield sculpt is not accurate. Wonder will it have the same QC issues of the original with the black glue showing. But wow talk abouyt improvement with the lenses.

Yeah I think the lenses just made the figure for me. the sleeves rising is a little annoying although futzing and pushing the suit up helps a lot. But when his arm is too high at one point you just have to deal with it unfortunately. Thanks for watching and providing great thoughts! TASM 2 is awesome 🤝

It was funny seeing you shake your head at looking at the eyes, it doesn't bother me as much the neck peg bothers me the most the head comes off to easily still a beautiful figure.
