Tbh I have never seen anyone spit on this design in my country but it must be said that in France American comics are a niche market. Ofc it sells relatively well but it has never been as popular as manga or European comics.

@@Gonzora Oh yeah, at least where I live everyone called this Goblin the lost Green Power Ranger, too goofy, and not close to the comics enough. Saw these opinions online as well. As someone who loves Power Rangers, was terrified by Dafoe, and didn't really care for the comic design in the first place, I felt like I was the only person who appreciated this design. Glad I was wrong.

​@@Doiboy35Oh I see. Here at the release of the first film most Spider-Man fans only knew him through the cartoon and also grew up with Power Rangers, perhaps that's why this design didn't shock us. Also, I found this Green Goblin suit even cooler than Spidey Tobey suit but hey, maybe that's because I was and remain a fan of the Green Ranger. 👀 That being said, I'm giving here the vision I had as a child of the 90s, but perhaps French adult fans were also spitting on this design. Personally I especially remember the bashing on Venom from Spider-Man 3 but here I think it's international and deserved (but in the end, apart from the character design, this version of Venom remains the best movie adaptation... wich is depressing).

I can relate having two hot toys figures myself. I got the Returns Batman (single release), and the Netflix Daredevil. They’re such sick figures in my display with Batman being my favourite of the two I have considered getting my hands on more, especially Andrew Garfield Spider-Man and Wolverine, but Hot Toys take up a lot of room and are just their for show. I like to fiddle with most of my figures, even MAFEX and SHF. Hot toys aren’t like that at all, so I’ll stick with the two I have.

I'm team doc ock when it comes to villains in the raimi trilogy, doesnt mean I dont love Dafoe's Goblin (pause) I just love the realism of the mechanical tentacles, so naturally I got the NWH Doc Ock! Its essentially perfect. It's a high recommend from me criminal.
