I did flashed twrp recovery 3.6.2 in my Oneplus 5t device then i flashed custom rom pixel experience then i was finding dificulty at @4:35 time where you choose --> install recovery Ramdisk . There is no such Install recovery ramsdisk folder in my advance setting of twrp. I have followed exact same steps as like you did from start.

Yes you need to unlock the bootloader to root. Flashing twrp might not be compulsory but it's highly recommended.

That's not how A/B partitions work. You can only have one operating system on one partition. The other partition is there to be used when updating the phone to reduce the risk of bricking it.

@@mohammedsaleh2160 it just depends on what slot you have the normal ROM on. If stock is on A, then B will be updated with the new ROM and switch over to B as the normal system.

In fact, there is a noticeable difference, but I cannot say for sure that I will make mistakes in the future, I am just trying to understand what it means. A/B , Are the two slots related to performance? Can ROM updates be installed through one slot and the other slot for new ROMs?

This was amazing and clear. As a Custom Rom user on my previous devices (Rn 4 and 7 Pro) which were A partion only, this really clarifies things which have now changed. Can you also help with the process to install PE . The installation instructions on the website talk about a new PE recovery which I have never tried. I want to stick to a stable rom as I just want the fluid experience of Pixel devices and I think PE+ is the best and most stable. Also is there any changes to the back to stock MiUI ? Since Mi community is banned I have no idea where to get the files. A video on that would be helpful as well considering warranty claims require MIUI. Also good to know incase something goes wrong on a custom rom.
