Thank you for this recipe! I use 30g flour and 150g water in order to get enough tangzhong. When I use 25g flour and 125g water I find myself almost not having enough. I use this dough to make hot dog buns.

Wow! The pork floss bun reminds me of the ones from OK! convenient stores in China and Hongkong! They were my favourite! I got a bread maker and thought there's not much use! But now i will try to follow your recipe and make them at home and probably add some shredded seaweed on top too! Thanks!

+Kaicy G Thanks for watching. Those breads are always a winner at home. The kids will finish them in no time. If you do try them, please share with us how you went. Enjoy and have a lovely day!

+Lazy AWESOME Dad I made them the second time today, it was really nice! I could say this is so much better than the ones I could get from the HongKong buns shop in Australia! But i noticed one mistake in your video, you said use egg yoke, it turned out not really good on the surface of the buns, I think you meant egg wash right? I improved your recipe using one beaten egg + 1 tbsp milk and brush it on top of buns and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top! It is amazing!
@LazyAwesomeDad9 жыл бұрын
+Kaicy G Glad you like them. Yeah it should have been egg wash. I will try it next time using adding milk to the egg yolk. Sesame seeds sounds good as well but not sure if the kids will like them. I have also recently uploaded a recipe for milk butter buns which is another winner with the kids: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWS6pmCapqqGZ7s Check it our if you wish and have a lovely day!

Do you need to cook the Chinese sausage before baking?
@sockie2012ify3 жыл бұрын
I believe Awesome dad used dried Chinese Sausage. It will be too hard. A better substitute will be Taiwan sausages which are soft.

Is the "list of ingredients in the description below"? I'm not seeing it. Is it somewhere else?
@LazyAwesomeDad4 жыл бұрын
Apologies for the missing list of ingredients. The person who was helping me out with the list is no longer doing it. I am slowly working on a website to upload the written recipes. So sorry about that.

The ingredients do not seem right. Those listed under the post are in discrepancy with the ones shown in the video. The post calls for 310 ml of milk which is 1.25 cups. It is way too much. I followed it and the dough can’t be even be formed. It ended up to be a big watery mess!
