Hi, just purchased a SYMA S107g in white, this is my 2nd one as the first one developed a fault with one of the motors so it wouldn't lift and fly(probably cos I crashed it loads of times trying to learn to fly it) but they are a lot of fun once you learn how to fly it, which is where your tutorial came in very useful, thanks!

Got a coaxial helicopter from a friend recently, somehow managed to get it wedged in the gap of a window. Ended up destroying the cog that rotates the lower blades. Recently purchased this exact model you are showing here. Can't wait to see how it flies in comparison to my destroyed model.

That is a 2ch helicopter, which goes forwards on it's own and you can only control the throttle and the turning.

+Gulam Jilani That means yours is a 2ch heli, and all you can control is height and spin of it. It should move forwards by itself, and you manage the throttle, and turn.

I have a new S5, but as soon as it gets off the ground, it moves sideways (nose pointing forward). I don't know how to stop it from crashing into the wall except to spin it around so that the tail points in the direction it is moving, and then push the direction lever forward. However, by that time it has so much momentum in its initial direction it has usually crashed. Can I adjust this?

If yours has a plug then you can charge the helicopter with the charger from the remote if you are away and don't have a outlet, as it uses he AA battieries in the remote to charge.

Aleyia Phoenix The motors have a limited lifttime, so using it a lot wears them out quicker, or if something like hair is stuck and it is trying to push will burn.

You must have a different model. The demo is probably something where you just control the throttle to maintain height, and it just does a figure 8 or something by it self.

We have the G230.4 and it does not have the trim knob in the middle, but it does have right & left trim buttons. When we hover it, it tends to go backwards rather than remain stationary. When we apply forward torque it does not go forward but keeps slipping slowly backwards. Any ideas?

Man just got a rebranded version of this now but flying one of these is very hard compared to my multi-rotors and I fly racing quads on occasion . Theres only forward and back pitch and yaw is on the same stick . Would a 4 channel have more functions akin to my drones than a 3 channel?

Thanks for the compliment :) I use my iPod 5 to film the table parts (1080p 60 frames per sec) and the Möbius Action Can to film flying parts (1080p 30 frames per sec) hope this helps, the möbius is about $75

The möbius comes with two pieces of Velcro with a sticky side so you put one in the möbius and one on a hat and wear that to film :)

Yes, it doesn't have an accelerometer, so won't try to stabilize it self (that's the point of the flybar) so only turns on when you want to go forwards or backwards.

yes. on this model, pitch control (for forward and reverse flight) is achieved via a bi-directional thruster in the tail. the tail motor responds to forward/back input on the right-stick, only. cheers

+Nisha Srivastava Start off with the trim in the center, and start to fly the helicopter. If it spins to the left by it self, turn the knob to the right until it stops, and vice versa :)
