Yes, it does not break the immersion of this game, movement is very important for an open world because you as the character wants to be free. You have the optionsto take shortcuts or just enjoy the scenery of Rinascita. Everyone can explore their story in their own pace and flight is one of many aspects this game does for the player. ^^

Another way to start flight is to use Jump and Grappling hook gadget. Just need to switch to the flight gadget fast. Useful for characters with no plunge attacks.

as long as we can't bind gadgets to keys, It's too much work. Jump atk dash atk T takes like 1.5-2secs. I added that custom binding for the gadgets to the Waifu Survey, so there's a chance to see it soon.

For the Changli/Chixia mains, you can use the new Nightmare Inferno Rider to jump higher, you can use it mid-air and it even resets your air dash when you use it so you can: jump > dash > echo > dash and get a bunch of height. Though just jump > echo > dash is enough.

@@rikkucrowe You need to do the dream patrol tutorial quest, then when you find every dream patrol challenge on each region (no need to complete it, just find it) it will unlock the nightmare echo that spawns there. You can track the dream patrol challenges by going to the map and clicking the compass on the top left, it will show you all the challenges for each region, including the dream patrol.

I'd say the problem with flight not being available in other regions is probably because of how flying increases your speed within the map. This poses quite the memory allocation problem on top of loading new areas quicker and deciding which things must be culled from bird view and which should be more visible (As well as the other stuff you mentioned too). It is not quite as simple as just letting players use the flight module in other regions, it must be tricky to make it look good and run well. I'm pretty sure flight will not be forever locked in Rinascita but it made total sense that the first region available is the one that introduced it. The others will probably follow sooner than we think.

The lore reason for it not being available in other regions is also easy. It's probably a common echo that's still currently tied to Rinascita and therefore can't be used outside (for now)

@@ravensshade I always thought that lore-wise, the wings were another terminal transformation like the glider. If that's the case, then I always thought that a good lore reason would be to make the Pioneer Association in Rinascita the originators of terminal flight tech, and that only recently they have been collaborating with other regions to pass around the technology. This would allow a flight permit to be granted from the Pioneer Association in other regions after a certain amount of total regional exploration percent if flying around ruining certain enviromental designs is a problem.

Or it's simply just a business thing. With flight disabled in the beginning region they can ditch it for a while and push all players (including new players) to the new region asap, all of this setup is enabling them to focus the marketing to one area rather than multiples.

Something I REALLY want, and will bring up in every survey henceforth, is unique wings for every character. I don't know how finnicky they are to design, but it's just aestethic, so like imagine havoc rover flying with that one wing they have, or yinlin being carried by a puppet or jiyan riding his dragon or jinsi riding her sword or etc. etc.

Flight feels sooo good! I still remember the feeling when I took off for the first time. "Omg, you can move SO fast and look at the beauties of Rinascita from above? You don't need to wait for the cooldown of Inferno Rider? You don't have to go around the obstacles? You just grappling up and flying? GIVE ME TWO!". Flight feels so comfortable, so fluid, I genuinelly enjoying exploring with it. I have a feeling I might 100% the whole Rinascita region with it, you just flying low and stumble upon random open world events loke Dim Painting, Sonance Caskets or closed chests. I often prefer to just fly instead of teleporting. You can reach the high spots so easily, no need to climb anymore(wall running is fantastic, but flight makes it so easy to get on the high mountains. Now wall running feels more suitable for the cities, when flight is rather for the vasts of Rinascita)! I WANT to find all chests(with marks on the map) in the region, I WANT to collect all Sonance Caskets to give it to that cute band of Echoes in the Garden of Lost and stay there for a minute just to enjoy their amazing music. With flight, all that stuff for 100% the game doesn't feel tedious, I actually enjoying it. Flight took "genshin could never" meme on the new heights(you get the joke, right? Heights!). This is my love letter for flight in Wuthering Waves, when they add it to the other regions(imagine HOW cool Mt.Firmament would look from above!), I will marry flight! Flight! Flight! FLIGHT! My only problem with it is that game sometimes is freezing when you flying in the new area or just in random moments. Apparently, game can't load some stuff in time(cons of playing Wuwa on hdd), but freezes is not that often, so this is more than playable. Shoutout to Kuro for making flight SO good. This guys keep cooking

even though people say jinhzou feel worst after rinascita, i myself feel 'back at home' whenever i come back to jinhzou (for daily mission)... of course i still mainly playing in rinascita (still on the 100% grind).... not to mention mostlikely we will go back to jinhzou in the future (they update the black hole like moon in the port of guixu to be bigger & more visible + they add a buch of sonoro door on new places in jinhzou too..) i feel like something is going to happen in jinhou before we go to another region

Honestly, I don't really care if we get flight in the older areas. Exploration, since it was designed without flight in mind, is simpler, and I guess most of us already have all of the areas explored? Even if you don't have 100% exploration, at least all the TP points should be unlocked. So while flight would be very fun in Jinzhou, Mt Firmament, and Black Shores, we'll live without it. But I really hope flight will stay for the future regions. Or, Kuro designs some other ways of exploration that would give us the same utility. Like, I dunno, New Federation seems kinda American, so maybe a motorcycle? Like a faster, longer-lasting Inferno Rider that doesn't feel like shit to control, and can go over knee-high ladges?

i really love the flight feature, it's not just make u easy to explore, but it also adds the fun element, making u wanna spend more time exploring not only chests, but the mobs as well (i always ran out of their drops lmao) bc u dont have to run and sprint all the time, and makes me appreciate how beautiful the environment is instead of teleporting (well i will just teleport if im lazy). As a long-time FFXIV player, an issue I've always had with that game is how fight totally invalidates the maps. You can fly anywhere with zero restrictions, so obviously it becomes faster to ignore the ground and fly over everything. They've never bothered to make moving around the map more fun because you unlock flight thru the story, and thus you have these huge beautiful zones I'll never look at again the second I can fly past them. Wuwa hits a nice balance imo with flight and land movement, esp since theyve put effort into making land movement FUN. it's so good! I also hope flight is added to 1.x areas, though I'm happy for it to be inaccessible until you reach Raguuna. FFXIV also introduced flight to ARR areas, though it took a long ass time LOL what you said about technical issues is likely very real. I'm happy to wait until late 2.x, even 3.0, before flight is introduced to the early areas, cuz I'd rather they focus on making 2.x as good as possible going forward

Speaking of glider skins, what they can do so that people wouldn't be miffed about having them is that maybe include skins for all gadgets, kind of like how Jinshi not only has her own new blossom skin but her sword, sigil and icon as well. Maybe to really bring it in, maybe have it so that you could buy skins individually from the pack when it comes to gadget skins, better yet offer some free ones from achievements.

Flight literally made me farm differently, I'm intentionally wasting time now farming since it is more fun and flasy, what I do is I tend to use a character with a nuke forte/liberation that can be used mid air like Carlotta,Camellya, Changli etc.I always fill those up as much as I can and when I have their aerial nukes up I just dive bomb any group of unsuspecting TD's 🤣

Hi! I run max settings, but I make sure to turn Motion Blur off and the Brightness all the way down. Is your issue unrelated to Motion Blur? I have noticed the character models get kind of crunchy when they move, and that was the case on my old PC too.

I feel like they should have kept it to post story. It's fun to fly but it does also take the experience of navigating a new zone away. There are some places it looked like they hadn't decided to let you fly yet, and that additional level design is now in the bin.

A bit more glazing and i'll have cavities. All i know is that i am getting sick beyond the back of my teeth of climbing stuff. No amount of wall running or flying can change the fact that exploration is constantly blocked by some bs climbing, i wish the next region will be flat as a pancake, for a change, if anything, but i fear we'll have instead waveriders, sorry, "gondola" challenges ( clunky as hell) and more unnecessary gimmics. Still love WuWa, but is "genshittifying" fast.
