So helpful. They owe you a commission because I have been holding off buying this for a good tutorial. Gonna watch the playlist in order now then buy the jet tomorrow. Can’t wait for SimSolutions leerjet 75a as well! And the flight fix citation x (750) coming any day. So much moneyyyyy but worth it.

Excellent introduction!!. I don't have this aircraft but looks interesting, I was going to wait for the phenom 300 from fs reborn..

Hi Chris, thanks - your comments are always very much appreciated 🙏. I'm of course eagerly awaiting the FSR Phenom 300 as well (well actually maybe I already have it as I'm on the alpha, but shhh!). I can promise you that will be well worth the wait. But in the meantime FSW have done a nice job with the Learjet 35A and with it's gauges and rather quirky FC-530 autopilot it's a very different beast from the Phenom - a classic from the golden age of jet. One of my favourite Matchbox planes I had when I was a nipper was a Lear 35A, so I was always going to be getting this one!

Since I thoroughly enjoy the C414, I just bought the Lear. Awesome bird, especially in VR! Now I'll setup my controls properly and get the thrust reversers working on my throttle, lol. Thanks for these tutorials! I use Spad for the 414, so I'll have to figure it out since I'd rather use it with this as well.

Got the reverse thrust set via spad. Now all I have to do is pull my throttles (TQ6+) into the REV position! No need to press a button and then push forward, which is great. Spad is such an awesome program, which I highly recommend. In fact, today I was reminded of one of the best reasons for using it. MSFS (once again) loaded up and erased all of my settings, forcing me to reset things and reassign a few controls. Fortunately, I had the majority (~95%) of every button, switch and axes mapped through spad and saved as a LJ35 profile 🙂

Are these keybinds still valid, or have they updated any of them? (Smoke on, smoke off etc)

Still valid AFAIK

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated. I have a Thrustmaster Yoke and throttles and they little picture showing the controls in options is empty. Does anyone know why or how to fix it?
@alpinebravo70903 ай бұрын
Hi, not sure why you wouldn't get a pic of the device - all the hardware manufacturers have to submit data to Microsoft to ensure their device is supported. Still, you should still be able to figure out the number of each button and make your own map.

@@alpinebravo7090 Thanks for the reply. It seems when you plug in the rudder to the yoke instead of USB this behavior occurs. Not worth my effort to redo all the cabling, lol.

The reverse htrottle didn't realy work for me. What worked for me is: Toggle Throttle reverse trust button 11 + button 10. And use Lever 1 and 3 of the bravo. Throttle 1 axis Joystick R-Axis Z Throttle 2 Axis Joystick R-Axis Y both not reverse axis.
@alpinebravo70904 ай бұрын
Hi, there are quite a few different ways of arranging reverse thrust and it depends on not just your controller, but also how the thrust axis has been mapped - MSFS offers various options including the +/- 100 axis, which offers scope for a soft detent between forward and reverse which is ok as reverse cannot be engaged in the air by accident (there has to be weight on the wheels). If I understood your post right, you use separate axes for the reverse thrust? That would work, but definitely wouldn't be my first choice of configuration as it means shifting your hand position at a critical moment.

@@alpinebravo7090 Yes, hadn't thought about that thx. I'm looking forward to your next video.
