I use pink foam in my boat also but has anyone performed a buoyancy test to see how much water weight it would hold if the boat undergoes water? Just curious not questioning the process at all.

Looking good. It’s to late but maybe use one of those pieces of angle as a straight edge to keep cuts straight.

Would there be any drawbacks to gluing the foam down with silicone?

I went with 2 inch because the ribs are 2 inches tall. That stuff is dense with a razor knife. I found that a circular saw works grea and leaves a clean edge.

Putting things (foam) in the bottom of the boat does not make it more buoyant, that's not how that works.

Bosch makes a jigsaw blade for soft material. It makes cutting foam board VERY easy. Cuts very clean.

Then, or now did you consider pour foam for under the sub floor? Also, did you do any additional mods to the drainage under, or above the subfloor?

I want to build the same front deck however I want the deck to go to the last rib not to the bench seat where the live well is. Will the angle supports be enough to support deck with out using the bench seat as part of the casting deck?
