What a wonderful video! I have a laser/toner printer for this very reason. However, I haven't done much with it. I also have the Minc. Wow! I look forward to making lots of lovely envelopes now. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video! I do hope you'll make more in the future. You're voice is very calming and you have a great angle with your (phone) camera. Enjoyed this very much. Bless you! I'll be ordering some of that paper also.

Thank you so much Sherrie! I do plan on doing another video soon. I’m so happy you have a new found use for your laser printer and your minc. Happy crafting!

Thank you for presenting the correct information for foiling envelopes! I will definitely try inserting a piece of cardstock inside my envelopes prior to foiling. Who knows? It could work. And, if all fails... I will purchase the larger Minc. Also, I am really happy to have your printer information. Our current Brother printer refuses to print anything heavier than copy paper. At the rate I am going, we may need to enlarge my craft room! But, I love papercrafting and plan to create for at least 30 more years.😉 You made a wonderful video!!!

Thank you and my pleasure Musette. Please let me know how you make out with your envelopes with the 6” minc. I hated my printer too, until I figured out how to use it, now I love it, but I did a lot of research online looking for answers. I love paper crafting too and my small area in the shared den hubby and I use is overflowing to the point where our spare bedroom is now my stash room, lol! I don’t think I need to buy anything more for the next few years lol. Good luck and please share how it went with your envelopes.

Great video! I have a ton of foil, only the mini minc so may have to experiment with putting thin cs inside the finished envelope. Finally was able to get my laser printer & it arrived a couple hours ago. So happy about that! Your envelopes are stunning!!
@smveillet Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I have tried doing envelopes with the mini and it worked great on handmade envelopes. I held off using double sided tape on the flap until after I ran it thru the minc. Good luck and let me know it works for you.

Great🎉 video! I don’t have that type of printer or foil machine. I have the spellbinders glimmer system & a regular hot laminator. I guess I have to make copies at staples & try it. Or maybe just keep using embossing powder & heat gun.☺️ *The stamp set you chose worked perfect 👍🏼.

Thank you. If you have toner foil, you can always do up your template and bring it to a copy store to have it printed for you. That’s what I did before I bought my printer.

Thank you for a great demo of a fabulous idea. I assume that the photo copies are done on laser printer because you cannot foil using an inkjet printer.
@smveillet8 ай бұрын
Thank you. That is correct. You need a laser printer for toner reactive foil to work.
@angelawhittington9378 ай бұрын
Thank you for patiently going through the process. Do you mail these envelopes or are they for direct handing out? I imagine that the postal service could destroy the beautiful work.
@smveillet8 ай бұрын
I definitely put these through the mail service in Canada. I also send some to the US and Britain. I haven’t had one come back because of the foil. I mailed one to myself and the toner foil stayed true. No scratches, or patches of foil missing in the least bit. I hope this helps and I apologize for my late reply.

What a great tutorial Sylvie! Could you share the name of the company that sells the fabric foil here in Canada please?

Thank you. The textile foil I used is from qualitydigitalsolutions.ca based in Calgary. Their customer service is amazing! They list their foil is listed as “hot stamping foil”.

Hi Cheryl. Yes, the weight of the card stock I use is 65lb for envelopes. I have a brother HL-L2390DW with a by pass feeder and it works fine for me.

What Canadian company do you use for your textile foil? I often find it difficult to find Canadian companies for my crafting supplies.
@smveillet2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I found it difficult too. The company I used for the textile foil is qualitydigitalsolutions.ca. Their customer service is incredible. They sell 25’ and 40’ rolls.

Can I ask what people use vellum for please
@smveillet2 жыл бұрын
Vellum can be used for various things. Some use it for “Save the Date” announcements, wedding invitations, or an alternative to cardstock for adding layers to a card. Does that help?
