This "Learn to foil" series has been great. High on my list for this spring.

Awesome to hear. I realize that most people are winterizing or have already put the boat away for the season but wanted to get this content out there as soon as I could. Thanks for watching! 👊🏼

This video was a game changer for me! I’ve been working on the 2nd wake for a while, and YES, that valley is challenging (1:20). Today I tried the first wake and BOOM, magic! Tournament ski boat, 25 ft rope on the center pylon, Slingshot Infinity 76 foil, 61 cm mast, small Naish board. SO MUCH FUN! Can already carve around a bit, fix my height, lots of sweet spot on that first wake depending on your height! I’m a 63 year old woman and LOVING my foil time on the water! None of the foiling pros broke it down like you did in this video.Thank you!

I've been finding teaching people at the end of the first wave is a great way to find and feel the energy so you're spot on with this! Love to hear you're havin a good time!!! 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼

thanks for the help, brother! I consider myself a pretty good wake and surf, but let me tell you the foil has humbled me tremendously, I can’t sleep until i figure it out!

It's definitely different bc you're actually on a wing, which we don't ride elsewhere. It's learning the rhythm of the wing, which is a slower movement going left to ride and then add climb and descent to that. You'll get it 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼

What’s a good wake foil package to start on? Would this foil/ board package also work for pump foiling without a boat? Excellent video and thank you for sharing the love of the sport 💪

The Hyperlite Shuttle w Booster 1300 is what I teach everyone on. You can flat water pump it a bit and even transfer back waves without too much difficulty but if you wanna get a wing that pumps easier you're gonna want a different wing. Only thing is that I've found those wings are more difficult to learn on and some people don't continue to pursue foiling bc they have such a tough initial experience with it so be cautious in that way.

Great vid! You make it look so easy! Would a tourney boat be able to generate enough wake energy to ride without a rope? Have a Nautique 206.
@Shaun.Murray4 ай бұрын
Thanks! 206 is a great boat. Has a small wake but still a ton of fun to be had and honestly can make practicing fundamentals of foiling easier. You can go straight behind the boat, back and forth behind the boat from left to right without feeling prop turbulence.

I just tried first wake today on our 19 ft tournament ski boat. Plenty of push with my Slingshot Infinity 76. So fun. Plenty of push to play around!

Would it be possible to go ropeless on the liquid forse wake foil I have just been riding on long line like wake board

Most likely

What board setup do you recommend for an experienced wake surf/wake boarder but new to this. I have a tritoon we want to mess with this behind for small wave fun, but want one that can pump flat water well for fun around the pier

I'm currently riding the Majik Karpet by Hyperlite but teach a lot of people on the Shuttle/Booster combo, or the UTE/Commander combo is pretty good for some as well. The Majik will let you get your pump on much easier but is a little fast for some people to learn on and don't like discouraging people out of the gate.

dude my legs have never been so sore!
@Shaun.Murray5 ай бұрын
For sure can get a good leg pump going but you'll eventually learn to relax just as much as wakesurfing, if not more, when foiling.
