If this method doesn't work, you can also just force restart the phone by holding just the power & volume down button, and as soon as the screen goes black & you feel a vibration, quickly switch to holding the volume up, power & bixby button until you get the android logo as shown above & this alternate route will work as well to get to the reboot system.

This method is so so much easier than what the guy did in the video. I advise you to try this method. If you get it word for word you cannot mess it up. It was so simple. Took me one try. The guy in the videos version, try to seven times couldn't work

1:50 that trick does not work with Galaxy S8. I've press Volume Up instead. Downloading mode and then follow Vol Down + Power for 7 sec. When it restarts, quickly press Vol Up + Power + Bigsby. That will work

this works but there is a shoter way to get to recovery mode for S8+. Pres volume up, bixby and power off until warning screen appears. Then release the buttons and wait for few seconds. Select power off option as shown in the video. Thank you for the idea!

I'm desperate. I need to power cycle my Galaxy S8 with mostly broken screen that occasionally works enough occasionally or freezer in a bag, tension twist screen after boot with strong flash light directly aimed at screen. All I need is a way to improve the rate of reboot to get to the rare occasion I can enter my pin and boot with USB and desktop computer ready to transfer files. After that phone will die in a camp fire.
