How To: FORD KUGA Oil Filter | 2.0 TDCi

Welcome to Piggypower... In this video a guide to replacing the OIL FILTER on the FORD Kuga 2.0 TDCi, same procedure for MANY ford 2.0 TDCi cars of this era.
Basic tools required, specifcally;
27mm socket
Long metal socket turny pole
Little screwdriver
some rag, not the best sheets
brake cleaner, not fluid.
Bosch Part Number: P9249

Great video, thank you 👍..... just have one question, do you know in mm how thin the plastic tube has to be, to slide down the dipstick shaft? 😂 So I can drain the oil next time without shuffling around under the car. Thank You!

No. But I'd still recommend draining even if you do a suction job. It's rare to do it right and get everything out

@@user-dh3lh4cs7w no it doesn't... But it does say the size of the long socket needed, 27mm. The long reach bar is a standard length long reach bar. If you got one, you got one... If you don't... You'll want one 👍😁

Hay bro, long shot but I’ve been trying to find out if the oil pressure solenoid on the mk1 Kuga is the same as the mark 2 cdti. Just wondering if you happened to know

@@PiggyPower hi yes, I’ve been looking at people changing the oil pressure sensor / switch on a mk2 Kuga and when searching it the only one I see is different for the mk1. I was just wondering if you knew if they have different oil pressure switches. I also don’t know where it is located on a mk1 but on the mk2 it’s beside the oil filter.

@@PiggyPower also would a faulty oil pressure sensor / switch cause high pressure in the fuel rail, the car keeps cutting out in high revs, I mean really flooring it and I’ve changed lots of stuff and still have same issues. I’ve changed fuel filter, fuel rail sensor, high pressure fuel pump, fuel pump regulator. I’m now looking at changing the o2 sensor and oil pressure sensor as I’m at a loss with what to do next. I have code p1169 when the car stalls out but then goes away after a restart. I also bought new return lines encase of a blockage. Any suggestions.

Oil and fuel systems are completely independent from each other. Was this a new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator or second hand parts? It's a fuel pressure regulating issue for sure to cause your issues

@@PiggyPower thanks for replying. It was second hand pump but the regular was tested with 12v and ohms. Had 5.9ohms and 12 v makes it move ok. Both changed and precise same issue. Do you think it could still be regulator
