5:27 That’s not the case for verbs that conjugate as -èle or -ète in the present tense. The future tense of acheter begins with achèter-, and adds the ending. I will buy = J’achèterai.

Thanks for this! What do you mean by the endings for nous and vous aren't the same as the endings for 'avoir' - these are avons and avez so how are these endings different? thanks again!

The je, tu, etc. endings are literally the entire, identical words of the avoir conjugation. The avoir conjugation for nous and vous are AVons and AVez, not ons and ez, so they are technically not the exact same as the future endings (like the others are).

That's right! The future endings are the same whether the verb is regular (use infinitive as stem) or irregular (use what you see starting at 3:26). The endings are always -ai, -as, -a, ons, ez, ont.
