Sean is so comfortable with this process that he just flies through it! I'm formatting my first book (for kids 9-12) and I wonder if absolutely all of these tips apply in my case. I'm itching to publish but am worried that I've missed something major in my formatting.

Thank you so much for this! Those Page Breaks make a huge difference when you upload to PDF - I also think I realised something - Word WIll not have the same Page count per page because if I am right the margins will be a bit different. I've done my book on A5 and it is on a PDF now with the correct amount of spacing between the page breaks and it is 4 pages less on the PDF but the pages and spacing between chapters and pages is correct.

Sean, thanks for your straightforward guide- the clearest I've found! Do have any suggestions for clearing up numbering in the table of contents? My table shows Preface at page seven (after title page, ect.) and the Introduction at page two. Also, there are 3 pages between the Preface and Intro that I can't seem to delete. I've looked online but the suggestions haven't worked. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Barbara B

Yor example for the eBook uses mirror margins used for print books. Best have the n=margins as even.

Hi, thanks for the information. My first attempt at putting books on KDP was a disaster. I've a question. I did the "mirror margins" like you said, and they come out right and left shifted on the computer from one page to the next. Does that matter for the eBook version. I plan to do hard copy as well, but should it be doing that in the eBook version? Thanks for your help.
