How do you indent the second line? She goes through this far too quickly.

you use what's called a "hanging indent". Just highlight all of the text that is being written and drag the hanging margin at the top of the page to the desired location (probably a half inch to the right of the standard margin), it should automatically indent all of the lines following the "first" line of a paragraphaph and ending at the point when you hit "Enter" on the keyboard.

Use the Word function. Highlight the reference or what you need a hanging or first line indentation on, click the little arrow in the right corner on the paragraph section of the Word toolbar, when the window pops up, the second section "Indentation" Special... pick the one you need.
