to people in the comments: the makeup itself is harmless, it mimics more almond-shaped eyes, which, while very prevalent in Asians, also appears in other ethnicities- Egyptians, Slavics, and (some) Greeks, for example. the issue here is the pose a lot of these people do: pulling their eyes back like that mimicks the “slant eye” gesture that people have used to mock asian people for decades. so while the makeup itself is fine, pulling their eyes back is not.

I've seen a couple of people (mostly just people stirring things up for the sake of it) calling the fox-eye trend "racially insensitive" to Asians but I think it's the exact opposite. For years tutorials have been geared towards making my Asian eyes look "big" and "round"; the fox eye trend is finally a make up look that accentuates my Asian eyes instead of trying to turn them more Caucasian. So I really like this trend, and this is a really good tutorial for it, so thank u!

Stunning! I saw your post last night on IG & I had to do a double take as I didn’t think it was you lol! I have been obsessed with your eye makeup for 3+ yrs now(& your content🥰! I promise I don’t just use you for your MUA skills🥇🎨👩🏼‍🎨🌟), but it was only last year that I finally figured out that I’ll NEVER be able to recreate your looks because I wasn’t born with your perfect brow, eye shape & bone structure(forehead, nose, cheekbones)surrounding your eyes lol! I’m definitely not happy about it (facts🤷🏼‍♀️) but at least I’ll no longer drive myself mad trying to purchase the same shadows, primer, mascara, liners & blend my heart out using great but inexpensive brushes from Sigma, Real Technique & Luxie or the very best eyeshadow brushes which IMO are Wayne Goss, Sonia G. & Rephr! 🤔, now that I think of it I still haven’t gotten my hands on a Smith brush which were once a staple in your routine!

I'm 60 and really learned a lot. I was never good and you provided many tips..put the eyeliner on skin to warm then use brush. I always did it right from the pencil. It looks terrible on my wrinkly lids and your tips may be the answer. Can't wait to try this. God bless cutie!

Wellll I was doing this type of eye without knowing just because it suited my eye shape and gave me that snachethed look, but now I know it's an actual "thing" and you gave me lots of tips to refine it, namely the cut up lashes, the inner corner, the shadow which I'm terrible at. I don't have to conceal my brows because I ALWAYS make my brows like that, I despise arched brows and I think straight brows make people look model-like and youthful and arched brows are so granny-ish to me and make people look old or like they're trying too hard. I think you should make this your go to look because it's literally stunning on you.
