I love the concept of the T-Stud. And your shelf is blowing my mind.

As a retired builder I follow new developments in the industry with interest but reserve judgment until the failure rate can be evaluated. The T-Stud looks like a winner!

I am really hoping to see this product expand more in the US. I think it's a great concept.

The header was interesting. Is this a regular product and is there a datasheet for example discussing the allowable width using that header configuration?

can you use rip a Tstud for the top and bottom plate and not do the double cuts and longer nails?

We're in the process of getting this solution added to our TER right now actually.

For the builders that are doing the T-Stud for the top and bottom plate, wouldn't it be easier to use the regular insulated T-Stud so there isn't the need to double cut the T-Studs for the vertical members?

Dear Bwillan You are thinking. Ha. I have that answer and it is supposed to be yes of course. But the foam industry is a bit screwed up right now so we had to stop making the preinsulated version. It will come back…

@@thermalstuds It may be quicker, but then you may still leak air underneath it, correct? Spray foam in place will seal it and glue it to the floor, making it stronger. No need for messy sealants under the insulated T-stud.
