Just being out in nature it is easy to feel the pull and connection. To completely leave all you know and immerse in the natural world is immeasurably huge. So few can take that plunge. Miriam is fascinating. Thank you both.

Yes indeed that deep connection that is always available to us if we so choose to lean into that power. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and to listen. She is indeed 🤍

Love this video and your interview questions. Interestingly, my husband and I moved ( immigrated) to NZ in 1995. We bought a 30 acre farm on the South Island. Our intention was to simplify and do exactly what you said in your interview : to be still and get back in the heart; and to decondition from the trance of doing, especially as taught in the USA. We stayed 5 years. It was very hard to be in such a slow place, to not have friends or to have people reflect back the message that we are accomplishing. I am not being critical of myself when I say that we didn’t really free ourselves of the doingness pattern. We moved back to the states in 2001 because my husband fell into a severe depression. It was a strange liminal space I’ve lived in ever since. Not identified as a USA citizen but not clear in my soul of my belonging and oneness with nature. Now I am 57 and single. I am watching this and find myself longing to just take a few months to go sleep on the ground in nature. To leave my phone and computer and not have any contact with people. I do have a dog that I would bring with me. Miriam inspired me and terrifically awakened this longing. I hmmmmm, more to be revealed. Thank you!!!

Hey beautiful! Thank you sharing! Certainly Miriam’s lifestyle doesn’t work for everyone, but I think it is about integration. I live just out of a city and take time to go and immerse myself in nature. I believe the component of separation from the doing, if even for a few hours, goes far in terms of freedom and fulfilment 🤍

Thank you for sharing. I also tried to do this, but was alone, after a divorce, and got depressed after just 7 months. I am now back in the city feeling much better, and still as you say longing the connection to nature. I think we have community in our genes and it's rare for people to manage the wilderness alone. Miriam and Peter are amazing.

Great interview with questions that are in depths, not the obvious ones you can see in other interviews, and always very sparking to see a human, in this case a woman, that lives in and from the top of the wave of vivid sparkling natural life.

This was fantastic. Miriam throws so many wisdom bombs. It is so refreshing to see a beautiful woman who could literally have it all to choose her happiness first. I think this is what most of us are missing and why the world is more and more becoming such a sick depressed suppressed place for most people.

wholeheartedly agree. I wish I had felt so strongly and confidently about such a choice at a younger age as she has. Now at half a century starting such a life is much more daunting. That said, I had found her story a few years back, I assume maybe the awesome guys at Mysterious Universe maybe mentioned or interviewed her. Maybe misremembering but they are Aussies and I've listened for more than a decade so its my guess. After listening then finding video of her I decided to at least go halfway into this for my second act of life. To that end I quick auctioned my home and moved into storage and an apt one eight the size. This is one year later and I'm ready to buy some property in a wooded area here in Michigan. No chance in this country for me to be totally off grid nomadic, and my parents are of course at an age where I gotta be reasonably close. Still, just the anticipation and knowledge of so many burdens shrugged off and ignored forever going forward is hard to describe. I was also one of the great resignation as I left my job in July 21 and haven't gone back. I have walked a few parcels and just doing that is pleasantly relaxing. We really do hurt ourselves so much being removed from the greens of nature. City life is a curse. Even small town life imo has become too city-like due to how people behave.
