So happy to find your channel! I'm trying to make a website like yours but for dutch freestyles. Did you program it yourself? In that case, how did you program it to find words that rhyme with eachother. I tried using the phonetic word descriptions from wikipedia but that doesn't work so well

I was able to find an external API with rhymes and slant rhymes. So I just leaned on that. You put in a word and get out rhymes. Really simple. I imagine it will be harder to find for Dutch.

Another one I wanna add is to give less fucks. Not every bar has to be 100% perfect and have impressive rhyme schemes and a bunch of metaphors. If you are freestyling and fuck up just keep going. Sometimes you just need to restart and sometimes you just play off it. For example sometimes when i freestyle ill mumble out some made up word and then I could say "that shit I said makes no sense like mumble rappers" or something. If you freestyle good for a minute, that's 1 more minute than most have the balls to even try.

Yeah for sure. If you can get in the mindset of having fun instead of trying to show off or be perfect, it's much more enjoyable and somehow easier too.

@@donovonj I think it's easier because of pressure. I get it. You want to impress everyone. You wanna say you rap without being laughed at. Imo taking as much pressure gives less thoughts like "oh i fucked up its over" that is instead used for rhymed. Just like how a computer slows down with too many programs, so does your brain.
