Bro, just wanted to give you a heartfelt congratulations. Feels like not that long ago you were at 10k subscribers now you’re 100k+!! I remember first finding your channel in the comment section of by any means basketball saying to Coleman how he inspired you to start your own channel. Now you’re out here leading and inspiring others! Definitely something I aspire to and I’m happy to see how much you’ve grown! You’ve earned it and keep it going 🔥🔥🔥

This video carries so much weight people don't even know the fact that you can get a hezi without making a carry. Being able to produce for your team, and possibly carry them to the finals through a simple move is amazing.

This is a great video, thanks for sharing. The most important part for any of these moves - you need to have a good (and fast) jump shot. This makes defenders anxious and more likely to react on a hesi.

I think for a casual hooper, the stepback hesi is the best one, since the casual hooper probably won't bite on it, giving you an open shot. And if they do, it's an easy blowby.

In the basics part u mention how ur footwork should look like your shooting, but certain hezis like the sub-zero one, all the examples had players with one of their foot significantly behind the other, almost like a negative step. So I don't think having your footwork has to completely set to shoot
@CoachFrikki2 жыл бұрын
I could have worded it better. The hesi footwork should look like the pullup footwork you're pretending to do. A hesi pull starts with that split stance w/ staggered feet. Hence the sub zero hesi starts in that exact same position. Then at some point the moves stop looking the same when you decide to shot fake & drive.
@roshawnseeny25312 жыл бұрын
@@CoachFrikki True, I just mentioned it cause little details like these are what separate your videos from others and is why I enjoy them the most. Like every video u post I actually learn something and can apply it to my game

Start high and attack low
@silo_89 ай бұрын
This is all very situational. If you can imitate getting into your shooting form/rhythm then it'll be the most effective but if you're playing quickly and your defender is aware of your shooting ability, they will jump the second u look up and look anywhere close to getting into your shot. When you play quicker, that negative step helps explode out of your shot like Ronaldo Segu's unique hesi.

Only threes and layups on this channel. Efficiency and shot selection wins games.
@ShadowMageYT2 жыл бұрын
@@CoachFrikki answer this, kevin durant sits 8th all time in efficiency rating, he takes 18.7 shots per game...13.8 of those are midrange...and 4.9 is 3pt...he gets 13.5 pts a game from midrange and only 5.5 pts from 3pt...he shoots a much more efficient shot from midrange than 3, so are we to just abandon the midrange at all? Even if you can be very efficient in it? Edit: (These numbers are Kevin's career average)
@CoachFrikki2 жыл бұрын
@@ShadowMageYT Kevin Durants midrange percentage for his career is 45.7%. Which is 0.914 PPP. Which is really inefficient compared to his 1.15 PPP on threes and 1.47 PPP at the rim. But looking at one player is not a good way to prove a point. Just look at the averages, and you'll see that the midrange shot is the most inefficient shot in the game. Which is why teams are shooting it less every year.
@ShadowMageYT2 жыл бұрын
@@CoachFrikki Yeah that's for sure true, and you are definitely right that it's the most inefficient shot...I didn't even look at PPP so thats news for me, but still you can't deny that the fadeway is a great move even if the "midrange" is inefficient...thank you for making these videos, they really are helpful!

@roshawnseeny25312 жыл бұрын
Byanymeansbasketball analyzed ronaldo segu's hezi and he mentioned how the hezi should be brief almost like a slight change of pace, the hezi doesn't even have to completly get the defender to jump for you to get past them, so it should always be quick, plus the slower ur hezi the more likely you'll carry it
@lebarbosa97782 жыл бұрын
no, just carry the ball. Put your hand under the ball, the more you do the more you'll be able to hide that you're carrying and then you're good.
