Also where did you get the bracket? I ordered the part, only got the compressor. Cam I still install without the bracket?

This looks like the same unit I have. The control box wasn't attached to anything and it was a simple matter of disconnecting the wires and moving it from the top out. I'm not sure if it's the control board or not. Wouldn't it be advisible to test the compressor since you have the plugs epxosed right there to see if it's grounded? If it's grounded, a new board won't help.

You can check to see if the compressor is bad before replacing the part.

Question, why wouldn't the replacement part just had the same OEM fittings instead of adding brackets and moving over the compressor and removing part of the wire harnesses?

It appears that the manufacturer must of done some type of design change to that part to make it better than the original one.

Help please, I have the same fridge and it seems like the defrost timer is gone, Yet, I cant locate the defrost timer. Please advise. Thanks a lot

There, the ADT board performs the timer function. It is located along with the temperature control in the Fresh Food Section.

This is the replacement part if you have a panasonic compressor with control board mcbe2un. Here you have the open end of the horseshoe shaped connector at the compressor terminal pointing down when connected to the terminals. The old mcbe2un board on panasonic compressor the open end of the compressor connector when connected is pointed to almost the 10 oclock position does this make a difference ? I cannot find a video of the mcbe2un being replaced with the 5304512686 in a fridgeiaire with a panasonic compressor. None of the instructions are clear on this. I have not attempted to install yet maybe its idiot proof and can only be connected one way
