Didn't you already post this video yesterday? Mark did well. A little more practice and he will nail it.

He made good progress! Maybe he gets the lego set for improving, but he can work towards the PlayStation by perfecting the front flip. Go, Mark!

Given how young he is and the progress made, I'd vote YES!

To me, although it was not progress in that 7 days, his training definitely helped him physically. Now its just a matter of getting the concept in his mind before he succeeds. The greatest thing that you showed was actually what a great and patient dad you are and that is the most important! You even reminded and inspired me to do the same!

Also, to answer your question- I think mark did a great job with training and his dive improved. I also think he will get better with more practice. I couldn’t do it, for sure lol

Yes, please train Mark in all the secret diving techniques. I learned a front flip into a foam pit jumping off a vault springboard. After landing on my back a few times I was told to tuck tighter. Next attempt, I flipped more, my face hit my knee and injured my nose. Before this everyone said ‘you can’t get hurt in a foam pit”! I found a way. haha. It is great that Mark has someone to drive the fundamentals to learn flipping in a natural progression. I agree that a flip needs strong core and body mechanism, but the “feel” of a flip can only be learned by flipping. For those who take naturally to acrobatics, it can be a communication gap when sharing it with beginners. Those people ‘feel” a flip, versus “think” a flip. I still talk myself through a flip with a check list: ARMS UP. JUMP. THROW. TUCK. HOLD. SPOT (SEE). RELEASE. KICK (DOWN). 7 days, HUGE progress from Mark. Get him a higher platform like mats to give him more time to rotate. Also explain not to untuck until you spot the far side of the pool. Looking forward to the next update.

Good progress....leaning too much forward, but getting into tuck much quicker and tighter than first! Another week or two and he may just get it! Great fun video.
