I really like your thorough explanations and especially the slo-mo, to see it better.

Saved this vid. Def will review when the season gets here. I think this progression path makes this a doable trick for this season

Gonna work on these tomorrow. I've been sort of neglecting frontside spins, only focusing on backside, and I gotta get these back. Super early seasom so theres really no jumps just a few inches of snow on the mountain.

Last season I was able to get some air on a small jump but the approach was mellow, tried to get to a bigger jump and the speed and jump was extremely intimidating, what're your tips to feeling comfortable with the speed? Just keep going fast? I can manage on regular riding through every "blue" I've been on so far (Lee Canyon, Brian Head, Steamboat)

Continuous progression. Wouldn´t advise going for features, that you have no feel and idea how to and that you can clear them. One needs to ride more. The more one rides, the more one rides different conditions and terrain/slopes and the more one understands how to snowboard. Help from videos is good. You need to get real comfortable with bigger ollies at higher speeds, to start thinking of going bigger jumps (be it straight airs, at first).

Hello Tommie, thx for your very clear tutorial(s). Regarding this 360 tutorial, what angles are your bindings? Thx!

Hey Tommie Love your vids. Ur stance seems not as wide as most. Can u talkabout your stance and size of your brd?

So frontside is when you rotate towards the rear? I’m so confused as to why they call frontside and backside what they do. I just thought of this though, I’d it because it’s the first side facing down hill during the rotation? Maybe that’ll make it easier for me to remember.

a board has a toe-side edge (an edge inFRONT of you. thus, frontside or FS) and a heel-side edge (an edge behind your BACK. thus, backside or BS). When spinning a BS spin, your back with the backside-edge face downhill during that BS spin as first. Whilst, when spinning a FS spin, the front of your body with your frontside (toe-side edge) faces downhill first. hope, you get my explanation .)

I'm 5'7" (170cm). What size of board should I get if I want to ride only on terrain parks? I'm new a beginner just starting to do FS 180. Do you have any recommendations for boards and bindings I should get? Thanks!

Not a good technique for learning flat-land, or air 360s. I think a lot of people who will try to learn it from here will over rotate on the landing and end up falling. Also, your landings were not clean. I know you're a strong snowboarder, and I think this will work for other strong borders if they try it. But it's still not a great video if you want to learn the correct form and mastery of a 360. The other thing you didn't mention is that you have to use your edge to grab onto the snow to initiate the rotation at the start of the trick.
@АлександрДудоров-ъ2т3 жыл бұрын
And what would be better to learn ground 360?) I am novice, I can 180 frontside and backside too (if the speed is not too much)
@maness21123 жыл бұрын
Some of the jumps were not clean because the landing zone were all chopped up.
@slopesripper2 жыл бұрын
@@АлександрДудоров-ъ2т I would suggest you try over-rotating your FS 180 at least to the point where your back faces downhill while you´re still mid-air (basically at least FS 270). And then prepare for the landing, by counter rotating your upper vs. lower body, aiming to land slightly toe-edged. I believe key-points are: 1. wind-up and sending your shoulders and the head into the spin. 2. jumping off the ground into the air 3. sucking up your knees (thus bringing your board more to your body, essentially giving you sort of more time to rotate) All 3 in one continuous and fluid motion. Timing is important. As always .) Be safe and have fun.
