@@Neweggstudio question. I have an ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 & 2 ROG Rapture GT6s. I have a large area to cover. I was told by ASUS Tech support before I bought them that they will work together. Well I was given the AXE16000 but I bought the 2 GT6s for the extended space. I told them I planned on using the AXE16000 as my main router and the 2 ROG GT6s as 2 nodes or what ever you want to call them. They told me they will work. Today when I called tech support they told me you cannot use them this way. Both devices under their specs say AiMesh capable. Are you familiar with these? If so do you know if they will work like I am hoping they will? If they do where do you recommend I go for quality support to get help setting them up. ASUS customer tech support is terrible. I read my serial number to the guy 10 times and I swear they were just not listening. Also for your info. I plan to have my AXE16000 connected to my ISP modem. My ISP does not have a built in router/wifi. So I will not need to put anything on their equipment in bridge mode. So the AXE16000 will be my router and I will have the 2 GT6s spread out far away on other side of building. My AXE16000 is next to and connected to a 16 port gigabit switch. I have Ethernet ran in the walls all the way out to where both GT6s are located. So the internet will be supplied from my AXE16000 through Cat6 to my GT6s so they will not be receiving WiFi signal from AXE16000 to the GT6s but instead they will be directly connected via Ethernet. I am hoping I can have the 2 GT6s receive wired internet and then broadcast WiFi from there to devices on that side of building. Will this work and how do I go about doing this? The biggest issue with multi antenna setup is antenna placement. They should always be parallel to the ones in in its array.

Very good overview of the product. Hard to unpack all this router can do but well done. This router also supports the Merlin firmware which makes it even that much better. I received this router about a week and a half ago and it is a beast!

In theory someone could connect 2 - 2.5 access points via Category 7/8 Cables to create a wired mesh network by further future proofing the Network? Isn't that also called an Orion's belt Network? Or you could just connect 2 more Asus 16000 routers as nodes and call it Cerberus.

Go into the web gui and under wan>dual wan you can change the wan port to one of the 10gbe ports.

Only problem with routers like this is it all depends on your Modem speeds its outputting, if you only have a 1 GB data plan, then your router is limited to those speeds just keep this in mind.

For WAN outgoing to the internet, yes. But internal networking say to a NAS or media server can connect through the 10gig ethernet and utilize those speeds internally. Assuming you have supporting ethernet cables and other hardware. I just upgraded to 2gig fiber so i'm grabbing this when it comes back in stock. haha.

But consider that ISPs are getting faster so it isn’t unheard of to have a plan that exceeds speeds over a gig. The plan i am on allows for 1200 mbps down and with provisioning I average about 1400 mbps down. I have this router and it is nice to have ports on it that can easily handle the speed. I would recommend future proofing and getting a modem with a 2.5 gbe port.

My 200e phone has more cores at faster speed and more ram then your 700e router and it handles 5G network share due usb-c or wifi just perfect with high bandwidth.
