How to Gain MMR as a Carry

@39:30 you talked about bkb and it’s usefulness. Particularly how it helps move in chrono against things like jakiro stun. How do you decide when you need it? Like, why not earlier? I can see the linkens being a higher priority, but why not bkb before mjolnir? Just trying to grasp concepts for other heros as well. Thanks. Great video. :) learned a lot.

Particularly, if you chrono someone without Mjolnir, you are not killing them because you just dont have enough damage, you basically need ways to accelerate your farm which is done by farming waves. Farming waves requires you to show in lane, and against an LC, it's hard if you don't have a linkens. So Ideally, the itemization should be something like Maelstrom -> Linkens -> Mjolnir -> BKB.

I experienced a huge mmr lost recently, around 800 lol. Although I just hit Divine last month(thanks to you too), it's still depressing. Tbh, I didn't expect I can learn this much when I already thought I'm a decent player. One hours 1:1 session is a really valueable content, you are so generous to put it as public. One short question: You explained well that FV is good if they have no catch. But isn't this true for all carries? Who should I pick if I know they have a lot of catch? WK, Drow?

Am, i have question if the enemy is pulling and my support ddnt pull so the creeps will go to the nuetral camp so what can i do to get it back creepwave near in my tower? this situation really make me loss the lane all the time can u answer pls. Should i attck ta neutral creeps and kill fast or what.

Rough situation to be in, u should try to aggro the enemy creeps away before they can get it pulled to the neutral camp, frankly there's no other solution

@PainDota Please clear my doubt : I know that void is a good pick when there is no catch but isn't that apply to all carry heroes. Take pa, slark for example, they are good when there is no catch. Am i right? slark is especially a good pick when there is no chain stun or the stuns which is difficult to dispel (instant disable like shadow shaman). Also, fv is good against magical bursts right as it can be easily negated by q. Pa, slark is vulnerable to magical bursts.

Yes it doesn't apply to every carry hero because void can negate that damage, slark cannot. Slark can however hide and regen back up which is another thing.

I do wanna know if that's okay. Is it always a fairly good to buy midas on void scratch the maelstrom? I always build midas then onto bkb or maybe diffusal when needed.

Maelstrom is your farming items and it is upgraded into Mjolnir which is your damage item. Void relies on attack speed to dish damage. The idea is, the more attacks he hits, the more chances of him proccing his bashes. With the level 15 talent and level 20, along with additional attack speed from Mjolnir, you don't require any more damgage items. So no, skipping maelstrom entirely is a bad idea. If you're buying midas first, chances are you don't feel threatened so you should buy the maelstrom. If you feel threatened by lets say an orchid or some root, don't even buy the midas, straight up rush the Manta for survivability

8/10 games in SEA I get supports who pick carries and go jungle or just ruin the lane. Trying to apply the concepts but most games it is just a Hard Support PA/Troll/WK lol. 1400 mmr. Every role wants to pick a hard carry. Any suggestions on how to deal with that?

Watch my carry laning guide on youtube and implement those things. The enemy has the same supports that you have yet they win games. How? Get out of the mentality that you need your teammates or they are holding you back. The first step to improvement is focusing on what YOU can do better

void litteraly shoots up your mmr if you know how to lane properly (since he has some niches in it) and teamfight properly.. he busts smurfs.. he busts spammers.. he pushes like a madman (even though its more optional to fight on your timings) and he is having busted amounts of damage with his bash.. he is a great hero to learn the hard carry role and a great mmr booster one you get down his niches and his issues .. i prefer other heroes but all good HC players know void as a pocket pick

Generally speaking, the concepts covered in this coaching session can be helpful for even higher mmr players, like 5k so don't get pushed away by the mmr if that helps
