Is the air dome the square the the pressure hose connects to on the bottom of the tub?

Why does my water level only come up half way even on super or extra large setting? the water does not cover the clothes. The pressure switch clicks when tested and the air line is clear. I have a G.E. GTWN4250DOWS

If the switch is not the problem, and the hose is still good, the air dome maybe blocked. I tried compressed air first, but that failed. My local appliance repairman advised me on the phone to get some muriatic acid from a spa, pool, or hardware store, and a dropper from a pharmacy. Fill the dropper and drip the acid into the inlet tube of the air dome. it should dissolve the collected solids that are blocking the air dome. I did this five or six times and now the washer works. WARNING! Muriatic acid is extremely caustic! Wear rubber gloves and eye protection! it is usually only available in gallon or larger jugs. I talked a spa store into giving me about a pint.

What about that box the tube connects to on the tub? Can that be clogged?
