I don't know if rares are really worth grinding considering I did these all day today and recieved 1 piece of gear from them that is "veteran". 99% of the time you get gear that is only upgradable to 398 (explorer)

Piss poor guide is why. This guide assumes you are doing pretty high level content. You're basically stuck at 411 item level as a casual unless you can start doing keys and normal/heroic raids. This video explains none of that. Most casuals will be stuck with whelpling drake upgrades with some drake

As far as I know you get one drake crest fragment per rare kill(farmable), crests fragments from the vendor, weekly quests, and the dragon event that is available next week. My pally has been played quite a bit this patch but I also did the story and dungeon quest for my warrior. Drake crests come by very slow especially with rare spawns taking forever to spawn. They did hint that drake crests can be capped in the world content but only by dedicated people. Have fun farming 80+ rares a week I guess. I just don't get why they make it a massive timegate as most casual players play multiple alts and would like the gear progression if it didn't take so long to get drake crests. The gear in the world is capped anyways even if they get a champion piece. Plus they wouldn't have to make catch-up content like 10.7.

I’ve farmed rares and you mainly get the fragments and those are capped either daily or weekly not sure which. Also upgrades are half the price if any character on your account has a piece in that slot that is higher IL.

@@dillonkitchen8270 yea I fixed my post to fragments.I didn't mean a whole crest. I killed multiples of the same rare in the same day and they will give a fragment. Just saying it takes to long to farm the crest cap in the world content but we will see next week.

You can only get 1 full spark every 2 weeks. To get someone to craft an item for you. You will need to take your aspect crests to a enchanter where they turn it into an enchanted crest and then you can use those for a crafter to make you gear.

You can get 1 full spark this week (week0) just do the main questline in the cavern. You get half a spark doing that questline and then another half from this quest www.wowhead.com/quest=75641/power-unified

You will struggle to kill the mobs there. I think the new zone is tuned for ilvl395

The upgrade system is fairly limited. You can earn flightstones as much as you want the 2000 cap is just a currency cap not a hard cap but the crest are capped so you can't farm a high lvl gear that way right away. Also I'd recommend to you to hold onto the crests because once you get into m+ runs you might get decent drops for certain slots. Use the crests to upgrade the item slots you have still low itemlvl gear for because you wont be able to upgrade everything fast.

Poo! Thanks! What’s the limit of drakes crest fragments u can loot from rares? I did about 15 yesterday to make a drake crest to upgrade the new champion gear off the bat and now have a 424ish I forgot what it when my too. I used two crest >.

How are you getting to 410 ilevel week 0? You stated a bunch of 395 and 402 gear, that does not get to ilevel 410, also you said new titan matrix 5 gets gear to 395 but i would already have 395 gear from forbidden reach rares.....

This "guide" is kinda useless. He pretty much listed everything you would do anyway. The crest are capped each week so you are kinda time gated ..sure the cap is fairly high but still limits it hard how far you can upgrade your gear. You either focus on 2-3 item or you gradually try to increase your lvl on all which I wouldnt recommend. I'd say if you are planning to jump into M+ right away save your crests so you can upgrade later the items you have on lower itemlvl if you dont get drops from your runs for certains slots. The only reason to upgrade gear on an already geared main is to lower the flight stone cost upgrade for your alts because that is account-wide ..meaning if you have a necklace on your main that is lets say 415 itemlvl you can upgrade a new necklace with only flightstones on your main up to that lvl easily ..on your alt you ll need ~half the flightstones for the upgrades but you still need the crests.

If you are a fresh starting out at 395 then week 0 you won't be 410. More so 498. That's one of the drawbacks to trying to make a guide for virtually everyone at different ilvls. 410 week 0 is for people who have been working on a new character ahead of time but not maxed out. For someone starting out fresh you will be behind by a week or two as far as how high your ilvl will be. Sorry for the confusion.

Do the new time rift. You get 402 gear that can be upgraded up to 424. Weekly quest gives 415 gear. World boss drops 421. Aside from that if you want better gear im sorry but you need to do Mythic plus or raid.

They only need that because its a huge change that affects all pve content of the game so ofc you need a lot of explaining. In practice tho its extremely simple, and you wont even have to farm a lot of the first 2 crests anyway since upgrading gear that is at a lower ilvl of the slot you'll place it at makes the cost of crests be ZERO until it reaches the same ilvl of the gear you'll replace by it. Its an incredible change to avoid being fully dependant on great vault rng to get your bis item on the best possible ilvl, because now you can even pick the wrong gear that fits a slot you still dont have a bis on, and then you farm your bis on +17s and upgrade it without the need for crests

on the crafting table its saying 476 item lvl this is rong running the mythic+ should give better gear i done the table and got the shaft on the gear put in for a 418 got a 415 yall need to put in some stops so people just lvling there crafting at some outher player mats and i hope yall are not telling all to push 20 keys as some have to pug there keys and some have the block on them so they cant ask in the listing for what they wont and need and you still have players that go in 1 wipe there running for the door this needs to be fix as a player just go and kills the key and not all have a fast comp and with some lag its hard the kick thing if a player it just being mean and gets a player kick is bad but wow adds to that as to put a timer on the player that got kick this is rong please fix all in all been playing 14 years or more the crafter have never been made to but the gold farmers as it is now better to put it on the ah thank you for your time and have fun

Kinda on you to want to gear all 13 and have a busy life in the process. If there was a method to do that it would be too easy for everyone. I did hear that the costs of tokens to upgrade are reduced on alts if you have a character with higher iLvl gear. Hope that helps but 13 characters will always be a challenge of course

It is extremely easy to get a full 395 itemlvl gear except for a 2nd trinket. Go farm the Forbidden reach in a key farm raid ..there is not so many anymore but you can still find some or make on. Farm the cave mobs and get the armor type drops you need. It will take a few hours with some luck to get enough tokens to further upgrade to armor tokens you got. With that gear you can easily jump into 10+ mythic+ runs especially with a new toon you give valor bonus to others so you can get carried easily with your own keys.
