I just checked MO options, and not sure where you got those premiums of $1.49; options for MO that are 2,3 months ahead are not even available and those premiums are on very high deltas, more than 50 delta which means there's >50% chance of shares to be assigned. Monthly premiums for MO are about $0.20 at delta ~18-20.

Is this example more specifically called/referred to as a BUY-WRITE? Fidelity has that *option* in the 2Leg section. While I'm selling CCs I don't understand what the difference is nor if, as a Tier1 in a Roth, if I can do a Buy-Write. I am also having trouble figuring out the Delta of a Buy-Write. Normal CCs the Delta is stated quite plainly.

From little i have learnt about options: #1 Covered call risk profile is same as short put #2 Dividends will fluctuate based on company performance over time. #3 Markets do not move according to my plan. Please let me know if I am missing something. Thanks

what about purchasing more shares once we collect dividends and option premiums? Have you calculated return in that case? thx

This video is about Covered Call. If you include everything, it'll be beyond complicated. Besides, dividends and premiums are probably not enough to buy an additional 100 commons to sell an additional Covered Call.

@@beLIEve77 no, this video is how to generate income with high yield stocks which can include what i mentioned above. You want to maximize your income with everything you get out of this trading. If you can't buy additional calls you wait and collect premiums and divs until you can.

This is completely different from bond market gain (no risk to capital at all). Although, covered calls have pros don't forget their cons. What if the stock goes down, say 30, in this example and similarly, if the stock rallies (like 60) you can't realize that profits beyond the strike price.
