For the Master of the Ancestral Forge achievement: You mention briefly we can buy the weapons. Yeah, I saw that they costs 2g for a skin required to unlock recipe, then 2g for the recipe itself, plus ice shards. Then there are costs for actually making them. Found out the weapons costs 5-6g each at the trading post, so I simply bought them, which both unlocks this achievement, and also the one for the skins. Also worth mentioning that you cannot open those chests without the proper masteries.

I've been watching a few of your videos now as I just downloaded the game again earlier this week. It's been 8 years since I last played as I was only active the first year after the release and there's now a million things I'm just trying to wrap my head around trying to get back into the game lol. I have around 20 tabs open in chrome trying to figure things out and sinking back into it very slowly. Well now that I have actually gotten around to taking a couple of my Alt characters up to Bjora Marches to farm these chests, I have to partially retract my praise for this video. The character Muk used to show where the chests are located does NOT have all of the map unlocked, so the parts of the video where he shows the location of the chests is mostly blurred out. This makes it a lot more difficult to figure out where Muk's character is at on the map. That plus he does not show you how to get from the waypoint to the area where the chests are located could have been done better. Still a good video, but not as great as I had once thought it was. For future videos I hope you will keep this comment in mind, and spend just a few seconds more in showing how you get to the locations you are trying to guide us to, instead of assuming that we can figure out your blurred out map from the tiny area that is unblurred. It would be best if you showed us on a character who has unlocked all of the map. Just my 2 cents.

Crafting ascended Olmakhan bag is a great thing by the way because it counts in one of the achievements needed for the legendary trinket "Vision". (Not one of the main "Vision's achievements" but one of the secondary achievements.)

@MuklukKZbin I went to GW2 Efficiency to compare the cost of the 32-slot bags. The Reinforced Boreal Trunk costs 218.4 gold and the 32-slot Hardened Leather Pannier costs 209.3 gold. As Mukluk mentioned in the video, you need to create 7 Restored Boreal weapons at a cost of 64-65 gold each (an additional cost of 455 gold). Am I seeing a huge increase in the cost of these items on the TP because Mukluk posted this video? What am I missing?

Gw2Efficiency also takes account of the Eitrite ingots crafting cost including the 20 24 and 28 bags. Once you remove the eitrite ingot costs it actually cost around 170 gold to craft one 32 slot Boreal bag, as of today. You should not craft Eitrite ingots since they can easily be collected from large essence chests and since you need eternal ice shards anyway you will collect ingots while you collect ice shards. Also about the Restored weapons the tp price as of now is around 5-6 gold each so that costs around 40 gold too.

Just remember that buying bag slot expansions (if you haven't unlocked them all) is still cheaper than crafting even the boreal trunk bags. A single 32 slot boreal trunk bag costs 244~ gold in materials which equates to 700+ gems in current conversion rates and gives you +12 inventory slots. Bag slot expansion costs 400 gems which is about 131 gold as of now, with an additional 10-15 gold for a 20 slot off the TP and gives you +20 inventory slots. The drawback is that the bag slot expansion is per character, and the 32 slot is account bound. Nevertheless, bag slots go on sale now and then for 200 gems, which at current exchange rates is 66~ gold, which means you can get 3 chars +20 slots each, or 60 in total, rather than fit one character with a 32 slot, giving you +12 inventory slots total for the same gold.

They don't really want prices to come down though. They want you to spend all your gold, so after that you will spend real money to get gems. (And this is totally legit as they need to keep the servers running and the crew employed.)

Mukluk, you can also mention to continue and try crafting the Illuminated version of the restored boreal weapons--the 11th illuminated weapon grants you a 32 slot bag! I only found out when I salvaged 6 restored and tried to craft another until it showed me I had an Illuminated Boreal recipe, then researched it thoroughly. _: I'm still sadge

1:00 Right so, this is ONE bag per account once you have completed Efi's task's for the bag. And as mentioned it's greatly discouraged to actually make more of these. Aside from needing to have acquired the "weapons" associated with Icebrood tea you also need certain masteries. One chest can be opened with the basic mastery, the other two requires a higher level of the other mastery. i wish this was noted in the video. Also, if you have the Rabbit/Griffon/Skyscale you don't have to worry about needing to park a Mesmur or using the rewind thing as getting back to the original high chest is not that hard, and not all that time consuming.

Just wanted to give an update on the reinforced boreal trunk from that collection. It only gets the 24 slot boreal bag now. You still need the restored boreal weapons because you need to get 11 illuminated boreal weapons now to get the 32 slot bag. Or you can just craft it but that's still 225 gold each bag at the current moment.

Think you need a total 18 supreme runes of holding per 32 slot bag as you need to make a 24 slot which uses 1, to make a 28 slot which needs a further 5, which is used to make the 32 slot which requires a further 12 making a total of 18 per 32 slot bag. Currently (26/12/2021) 18x supreme rune holding 10g-12g each = 180-216g (+other materials).

Not counting 5 bag slots (400 gem per slot, around 125g if you convert g2g. also on sale sometimes) you have to buy to get max 10 slots. Cheapest bag is Reinforced Boreal Trunk around 150g. After you get 2 free bags that are part or the quests/collections, you have to spend around 1200g.

You could do that, but then you‘ll be constantly salvaging items, deleting trophies etc on your main toon while trying to tag mobs or even players in wvw. Combined with the time it takes to login and out of characters to move items around, you’ll limit your farming efficiency.
