Is flight ticket and hotel booking necessary prior to the interview? How about minimum bank balance in savings account and number of months we need to show? Savings account has very low interest rate, usually I would just leave a minimum RM 20 and transfer everything away, would this affect my visa application?

hey!! thank you so much! this is so helpful! i have a B1/B2 interview coming up very soon and wondering if you parked yourself anywhere or did you walk to the US embassy in KL from nearby Ampang Park LRT or did you Grab from anywhere? would appreciate your advice regarding how to actually go there and how long does it take from your experience ;) thanks in advance!

Since we are not allowed to park inside or outside the embassy building, I would say the easiest way is to just Grab. The traffic there in the morning is normally okay. I am not familiar with the public transportation near that area but I personally don’t see any LRT/MRT station nearby. So probably Grab is the best option

Hi, if your wedding is on Nov 18, interview on Nov 13 will be too late. Better to do it 1-2 months before the departure
