It's really.not. If you do that, you get what you get. A1-15 is priority. So if 15ppl buy the checkin upgrades, they add all of THEM first. Next it's those that did the 36hr check in that start at A16 and however many did THAT, the numbers are blocked. I've been on flights where SO many people paid for early checkin that "regular" checkin didn't begin til like B30! So no, your statement is wrong. He JUST told you how SW let's you sit. Ya, first come KS served and everyone ELSE gets what's left over. I've been in SW flights where NO one got A1-15 priority boarding, so the space was just a gap. I was like A33, so technically, I was 18th in line, not 33rd.

dont fly there theres a chance that you wouldnt be able to board a flight even if you bought your ticket and showed proof because if theres a "Extra sized" person they are allowed to take another seat for free for comfort

If you are over 65 and have pre existing health conditions: Southwest is remarkable in accommodating early boarding. Military, parents with small kids and older Folks are given boarding priority

Southwest is the Most Accommodating to Senior Citizens. I fly a lot. 2-3 a year. 1. Southwest is the best in my opinion. 2. Delta has the roomiest Planes ✈️. 3. United Only is my last resort. ( usually during holidays when flights are heavily booked

Seats are first come, first serve, so it depends on when you get on the plane. Early bird status helps a little, but once aboard the plane, you'll have to try to physically hold a row of seats for your friends/family (good luck with that) The best way to get on the plane sooner, is to purchase either upgraded seating, or business select tickets, in advance. It will cost you more, but you will be one of the first 15 people to board the plane.
