A collateral of up to C$10,000 (if you are borrowing up to 40k), it is too high, and I don't see the way you are helping those who doesn't have money to reach their goals. MPower doesn't require collaterals or cosigners. Wish Bobby sees this

Exactly my point, whats now the point of collecting the loan, if i can afford the collateral deposit i will not be needing the study loan.

The idea is, the loan helps you pay your tuition directly to the Uni, and gives you some amount monthly. Also you get this document for your proof of funds. The collateral is a small percentage of the total loan and will make all this possible. This is not for everyone anyway.
