You need to look for employers inside the USA that can sponsor your visa. Best way to go ahead is to search online for big 5 star hotels. They might have visa quotas. Send them an email and ask.

The best way is to find a hotel who sponsors you. That's the only way I know of. Go online, check out some hotels and try to find their email addresses. Then contact them via email and apply.

I am not really sure about the current requirements for obtaining a J1 visa. Since you are an Indian chef with hopefully lots of expertise in Indian cuisine, your future employer should have no issue to apply for an HB1 visa if I am not mistaken, since you are a highly skilled and trained specialist. @@vipulsingh360 Hi Arvind, I am not familiar with this kind of application process when it comes to HB1. I suggest to search for appropriate forums on the internet. Look for people who also want to work in the States or did already and who can give you advise.

If you are a citizen of the United States and are currently residing there, then you can get your chef in on a J-1 Student visa. There are other visa categories as well. You have to do some research yourself. Thanks

Yes, try to talk to them. But the hotel will have to apply for a working visa for you, which is a totally different visa and the process can take many months.
