Just subbed, nice and interesting vid, you say it's illegal to work without a bachelors degree, i have google searched this and can not find any reference to it being illegal, yes hard to find work, but nowhere does anything say its illegal...I have TEFL certs and thinking of coming to China, also have a Chinese wife,( no relevance just thought I would say ha ha ), so got al little foot in the door, been back and forth to see family etc mainly to Shenyang and Anshan...now going start watching your back catalogue of vids, good luck with your channel..,

Foreigners are required to get a criminal background check in their home country and then have it authenticated at the Chinese Consulate. When that new rule came out in 2017 requiring authentication of criminal background and university degree.... you saw many foreigners leave China..... It is a hassle, BUT you would have to go through the same process to be a teacher in the US or Canada..... It's a way to filter out the real professionals from the phonies..... So I'm actually glad they did it. Like any job market, the more qualifications you have the better.... so if you are one of these fake teachers in China.... consider becoming legit and getting a real teaching license from your country back home...... It is ridiculous that these people who aren't even qualified to teach children in the US, UK, or Canada suddenly think they are magically qualified to be teachers in China and Thailand simply because they speak the English language....... But with the work visa, the best thing you can do is get everything authenticated before you come over.....

Higher education always helps. Chinese fluency help a ton in my opinion too.
