@@Gratitude.Driven sorry for the typo “edited” lol I am literally on a stage where I am coming from business back ground and learnt a lot for over the late year done a lot of projects and started some virtual internship programs. It’s fun but I feel I need more. I can work for free or as volunteer for non-profit to build up experience. Also enrolling now for data science master degree at Harvard extension school to make a solid case to future recruiters. How can we chat? Sounds like how I leveled up from data entry to software engineering without a degree. I started writing small scripts to speed up my data entry job, got in trouble because the sysadmin thought I was hacking into his system, then got the keys to the system when he saw the roundabout way I was pushing data in using the windows macro recorder.

In practice in industry we don't really develop locally and only use cloud services, so I would recommend not investing in a powerful laptop and rather getting a decent laptop and using AWS/GCP

The book Practical Statistics for Data Scientists is also well-regarded, but I haven't read it myself. I'm about to put out a video on projects at every stage (within the next month), so keep an eye out for that!
