Just gotta say I really appreciate the "Top Gear" quality content. As a power wheelchair user in the US, we're expected to live our lives within the limitations of the device rather than the other way around. Likewise, we're expected to make our choice of chair based upon the canned information that the manufacturers provide. It almost makes me emotional to see someone treating the subject with this degree of practicality and respect for those of us who try to lead active lives. If I had a dollar for every time a repair tech told me they never seen this or that part wore down in x amount of time... Anyways, keep up the great work!

I get mine stuck all the time. One issue is the force required to overcome the caster rotation of changing direction . If stuck going forward there is no chance of revering to try and get out again. I have the intermediate tyre as used in the video. Also easy to overheat the motors on gravel inclines or even through a meadow.

Thank you so much for your reply and input, always nice to hear other experiences. I definitely think that the size and profile of the castors would make a difference. Interesting to hear about the motors, have you fed this back to the supplier?
@Beaker1593 ай бұрын
@@clinicalmobilitysolutions2131 I have fed back through the SW area rep. The only vaster change they are looking at is a foot profile one that would keep the caters straighter and aid with going up kerbs and single steps. Australia has said the motor / gearbox noise is hard to diagnose, short of swapping out.

bonjour, je n'ai pas tout compris mais votre vidéo m'a aidé à apprécier les qualités tout terrain de votre fauteuil que je vais avoir à l'essai en France. j'ai aimé aussi que vous nous montriez également ses impossibilités. Merci

This was a very helpful video. It answered many of my questions. One of my concerns is getting water & mud into the electronics while in these kinds of areas. Is the underside of the 360 watertight? And my other question is about cleaning the tires and casters. Can you use a hose and not worry about the electronics getting soaked?
@clinicalmobilitysolutions21317 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for getting in touch! I'm so glad the video was beneficial. I would always recommend avoiding puddles and large areas of water as you're never sure where the water ends up! That being said, the battery undertray is water tight so if needed, it would be fine. Although it's a little more effort, I would always use a brush, water spray and cloth for the wheels as a hose could allow water to access the top of the battery tray. One other thing to mention is if you ever get caught out in the rain, always ensure you dry the electronics down and where possible, store in a warm dry environment. Hope this helps

Hi, I use a Magic Extreme X8 and use it to it's limit while metal detecting and rambling, I wonder how the Magic 360 would stand up to my off roading which can be very extreme. If you want me to test one for you I am more than happy to see if it is possible to use a 2 wheel drive mid wheel drive to do what we do, some of which is on quite steep hills. All the best from Jon and Wendy in Derbyshire.😀

Hello! Thank you for getting in touch. Haha i'm not sure the 360 is any match for the Extreme X8! We'll do a comparison video at some point. Thank you for the offer though, appreciate the message

Thank you for getting in touch and i'm glad you enjoyed the video. If you have the correct motors, it should be a simple program change. I'd ask your provider if they could connect and look into it for you 👍

Atleast this one chair doesn't get STUCK when the tires touch the grass like the jazzy wheel (junk) chair I have. I can not take it outside, I live in the rural country and I don't have concrete sidewalks to ride on. I have a wood porch an after that is a wood ramp that lets me get to the yard and the grass but when my chair's tires touch the grass it is stuck on level ground and it just spins. If you are in Missouri in USA and live in the country, don't buy a Jazzy wheelchair if you think about getting outdoors to enjoy nature, you can't with a jazzy like I have. I'm been a prisoner in my bedroom for past 3 years. Im holding back what I truly feel in my heart and want to say. I know there are many more people just like me who got screwed over in life an we didn't do anything wrong. I just want to find a wheelchair that i go go outside with and not worry about not getting back safely, or able to even go without having to crawl back on my elbows. I can't go on like I have for past 3 years, it's not worth it at all.

Friends don't let friends drive Pride chairs. They're underpowered, poorly designed, unreliable crap. Insurance companies love to foist them on users, because Pride chairs cost them basically nothing.
@SamRichaniАй бұрын
have you tested it on beach sand?
@clinicalmobilitysolutions213123 күн бұрын
I think it would manage firm sand but nothing else, the castors would just dig in. The X8 is best chair for loose/thick sand

I feel like the all terrain chairs with 4 large wheels would be better.
@clinicalmobilitysolutions21317 ай бұрын
Agreed! Thank you for getting in touch, some users still require the manoeuvrability of a MWD therefore the 360 is still a good option. Just naturally has it's limitations!
@tsundokujim3 ай бұрын
They would, but are useless indoors. Most people don't have the budget for two chairs, so having one that can do both has value. The Magic 360 has a base price of $22k in the US and can easily reach $40k if you add lift/tilt. The X8 starts at $24k (and again can easily top $40k with options). Insurance companies here have nervous breakdowns about funding just one of these chairs (and will try every trick in the book to get you to accept a crappy Pride chair, which costs them basically nothing). They certainly won't pay for two.

What's is the price of this wheelchair
@clinicalmobilitysolutions21315 ай бұрын
Thank you for getting in touch, the chair starts from £12,500 but there are many options and configuration changes that can affect that. Hope that helps
