Hi, and thank you veeryyy much for this video, and I have few questions. I am a high school student in Ukraine , and we have only 11 grades here instead of 13 like in UK, and we don’t have a-levels or AP classes, only own national standardised test. So what should I do after finishing school without taking paid A-levels which are risky for me and I might lose few years when I could have been studying at a local university, if I’m willing to apply to a UK uni? @@tsionsin536 ye I know that but as I already said its too risky for me to take a whole year off to study the foundation program, which doesn’t guarantee enrolment, so I would have wasted a whole year when I could be studying at a local or other unis

hi! i've talked with a Cambridge Student about this (we also don't have A levels in Brazil), she said that taking A levels isn't mandatory if you don't have them in your country, you need to do other things that you believe that have the same value as them (not only believe, but have). The A levels (such as the IB) is just a part of the application. Extracurriculars, english, good grades, having a confidence, going good in the interview, are another important points that we should focus on. Hope I helped you! (I was suffering a lot about understading these too, since we don't have enough information). (btw, answering the last question, not 100% pretty sure about, but I believe that you can apply to the uni immediately, or, do some more exams that they ask in the UK instead of doing a foundation year - there are a lot of places that offer a opportunity to do these exams).
