Tutorials are so tricky since it's so easy to get sucked into them and they're packed with knowledge which is great, but then it's so hard to find that sweet spot where you think you're ready to branch off

yep, i've been there! what i would recommend is build a similar project that is like the one you watch on tutorial, as you learn you google things along, it tend to work wonders for me to learn an new technology or skill

Hey Vicky, I'm Kieran and an aspiring dev, self teaching atm. I've been following Angela Yu's bootcamp on udemy but I just kept going all the way without practicing much, I finally stopped at Databases. I'm also now following a free 30week virtual bootcamp by an amazing man, for 100devs who were picked, lucky to be there actually so I'm following along now getting a refresher. I still struggle alot with css aligning and positioning thanks for the tips and the video liked and subbed.
@VickyMei4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kieran! thanks for sharing your thoughts. yes i have to admit its def tricky to keep up with the tutorial while building something independently but thats the way to go and actually being able to learn. im glad you start building projects as you learn. As far as learning css, my advise is that CSS only can get worse before it gets better. keep on practicing the process is very unpleasant, but you will find a better control over it the more you practice. take it a day by a day, you will grab onto it sooner than you thought :)

I learned HTML/CSS/Javascript but when I sat down to make a website I got stuck and didn't know where to start. So I figured I needed more tutorials on building web pages. Hope you can relate and maybe that's a topic for one of your future videos. Bye beautiful Vicky!

@djangosoftwaredeveloper2 ай бұрын
@@VickyMei I hear you but without a referral resumes without the wishlist are often ignored. HR doesn't typically understand the requirements needed and want to select candidates that will make them look good to the hiring managers. So the hiring manager likely won't ever even see an 'underqualified' candidate to make that type of decision. This is a main reason why they are always complaining about staff shortages or shortages of qualified candidates. HR is unwilling to take risks on candidates who may end up being excellent employees. Selling yourself in interviews/resumes is a COMPLETELY different skillset than most jobs require. The real solution is often to eliminate HR departments. Some companies are beginning to do this and more should.
